Leopardstar calls a Clan meeting .
During the ceremony, Feathertail thinks about her past.
Feathertail was born a half-Clan cat with Silverstream and Graystripe .
Silverstream dies and Graystripe takes her and her brother to RiverClan.
She thinks about how she was unwelcome in RiverClan due to her half-Clan heritage.
When Graystripe failed to defend RiverClan at the Battles#A Dangerous Path at the Sunningrocks , and he’s sent away from RiverClan by Leopardstar.
She thinks about her difficult position she was put in to stay in RiverClan or leave to ThunderClan .
After thinking, the two apprentices become warriors , and stand vigil for the night.
Feathertail notes that Stormfur looks happy.
Feathertail thinks about her memories during the vigil.
Feathertail remembers the good memories, then remembers the bad memories.
Feathertail thinks about how Tigerstar took over the Clan , and how Leopardstar did nothing to help save them.
She thinks about how well she got along in ThunderClan.
Feathertail wonders how she’ll be loyal to RiverClan when she doesn’t trust her leader .
After the vigil is over, she asks Stormfur if they should have stayed in ThunderClan with their father, Graystripe.
Stormfur comments that it is too late to have thoughts like that.
Feathertail goes on as a warrior, but she starts avoiding other RiverClan warriors.
She is untrustful of other cats.
She begins to question herself and her Clanmates.
The distance between her and other cats grow bigger.
She becomes jealous of how well her brother is fitting in.
Later, Stormfur tells Feathertail that she has to forgive her Clanmates if she wants to be RiverClan.
She can not respond to the statement due to her uncertainty.
Her Clanmates leave her alone.
Even though she wanted to be left alone, Feathertail is not happy.
Feathertail goes on hunting, and wonders about Graystripe.
She meets Ferncloud who is chasing a squirrel onto RiverClan territory.
Feathertail and Ferncloud talk about their lives for a while.
Feathertail feels trustful and happy.
Heavystep and Blackclaw spot the two together, and attempt to harm the ThunderClan cat.
Feathertail attacks her Clanmates willingly in order for Ferncloud to escape.
Back at camp , Leopardstar punishes Feathertail for apprentice work for her actions.
She has resentful thoughts of Leopardstar and her past actions.
She isn’t satisfied with the decision. Feathertail is doing apprentice work, but is glad that other cats leave her alone.
Stormfur starts talking about her actions and sides with his Clanmates.
Feathertail is upset.
Feathertail admits that she feels more loyal to ThunderClan than RiverClan.
Blackclaw reports to Leopardstar that their patrol picked up rogue cat scents.
Blackclaw leads them to the rogue cats.
Leopardstar tells the rogue cats to leave immediately. Feathertail notices how skinny and weak the cats are.
She notices that the cats are terrified.
Leopardstar questions the rogue cats about the reason for being there.
Sasha asks to join the Clan, asking for mercy.Blackclaw insists that the rogue cats should be turned away.
Feathertail and Stormfur comment that the nursery and apprentice den are nearly empty.
Leopardstar allows Sasha and her two kits to join RiverClan.
Sasha fits in well with the Clan.
Leopardstar asks Feathertail about how Sasha is fitting in.
Feathertail replies yes.
She has resentful thoughts of Leopardstar, about how fitting in a Clan is hard.
Hawk, Moth, and other kits are playing near the river.
Feathertail realizes that Hawk and Moth do not know about the river, and watches Hawk fall in.
Feathertail rescues Hawk.
Leopardstar praises her for her actions.
Feathertail still has resentful thoughts, replying that she did not rescue the kit for Leopardstar.
Sasha thanks Feathertail for rescuing her son and tells her about her life with the kits before she joined RiverClan.
Sasha tells her how her kits’ brother drowned, and it was traumatizing for the kits.
Feathertail realizes how hard their life was, and out of sympathy asks to share prey.
Feathertail and Sasha grow closer.
Feathertail asks about Hawk and Moth’s father.
Sasha replies hesitantly that he died.
Sasha allows her to teach Hawk and Moth how to swim.
Feathertail notes that teaching these kits makes her feel good and proud.
Hawk and Moth become apprentices.
Leopardstar and Mistyfoot become mentors .
Feathertail notes that it’s too bad she did not become their mentor, and that she should keep an eye on Leopardstar.
Feathertail keeps an eye on Hawkpaw and Mothpaw’s training.
Feathertail, Sasha, and two Clanmates are talking together.
Two kits play too rough.
Mosspelt uses Tigerstar to scare the kits not to play rough.Feathertail notes Sasha looks upset at Mosspelt’s comment.
Feathertail asks why Sasha looked upset when Mosspelt mentioned Tigerstar, and that he is a cat she never knew.
Sasha tells her that Tigerstar was her mate .
Feathertail feels deeply betrayed, after knowing how Sasha did not tell her secret after mentioning what Tigerstar did to her and Stormfur.
Sasha pleads with Feathertail to keep her secret.
Feathertail says she will keep her secret, but she breaks ties with Sasha.
Feathertail feels untrustful of every cat, and she distances herself with her Clanmates.
Feathertail gets selected to go to the Gathering .
The Gathering finishes after all the leader’s reports.
Feathertail and Stormfur talk with their father.
Graystripe notices Feathertail is looking sad.
Feathertail tells Graystripe she’s having a hard time trusting cats.
Graystripe tells her she will always be welcome in ThunderClan.
Sasha tells Feathertail she is leaving RiverClan because ShadowClan cats will recognize her, and will know Hawkpaw and Mothpaw’s heritage once she goes to a Gathering.
Sasha makes Feathertail promise to keep their secret after she’s gone.
Sasha leaves RiverClan.
Feathertail is not glad to see her leave, after thinking she wanted Sasha gone. Feathertail is worried that Hawkpaw is becoming dangerous like Tigerstar.
Hawkpaw tries to show off a squirrel he caught to Feathertail.
Feathertail replies unenthusiastically.
Hawkpaw starts a fight at the WindClan border.
The RiverClan patrol wins the fight.
Blackclaw comments that Hawkpaw fights well.
Feathertail grows suspicious that Hawkpaw may have Tigerstar’s instincts.
Leaf-bare comes.
Prey gets scarce, and RiverClan struggles. One night, a fox ambushes RiverClan.
They defeat the fox with Hawkpaw's help.
Leopardstar calls a Clan meeting.
She announces that she wants to put together a patrol to finish the fox.
Leopardstar, Hawkpaw, Feathertail, and Stormfur participate.
The patrol walks outside of Clan territory , following the scent.
They sleep for the night.
Feathertail has a nightmare of her past in TigerClan.
Feathertail wakes up to see Leopardstar missing.
Feathertail hopes the fox killed Leopardstar during the night.
Leopardstar returns with prey instead.
They follow the scent and find the fox’s den.
They find the fox outside the den.
The patrol fights the fox.
Hawkpaw gets thrown back.
The fox tries to get Hawkpaw.
Leopardstar tries to attack the fox.
The fox gets Leopardstar.
Leopardstar tells the patrol to run.
Feathertail decides Leopardstar is trying to sacrifice herself.
Feathertail attacks the fox.
The patrol is successful in killing the fox.
Leopardstar speaks to Feathertail and Stormfur and apologizes for her past actions against them.
Feathertail forgives Leopardstar.
They return to the camp.
Sometime later, Feathertail attends the Gathering.
Feathertail tells Graystripe that RiverClan is her home.
Feathertail continues her life in RiverClan, different from before.
Feathertail falls asleep one night.
Feathertail dreams and meets Oakheart .
Oakheart gives a message that she has been chosen for a new prophecy .
