Chapter description[]
- Blackfoot realizes from his vision from Stonefur that Tigerstar only pretended to care about sick ShadowClan cats for Nightstar to make him deputy. Nightstar tells Blackfoot that Tigerstar fooled him too, but the white tom did not, and he only cared for his Clanmates. The white tom promises himself that he will lead ShadowClan better than Tigerstar or Brokenstar. Nightstar asks Blackfoot if he wants the life, and Blackfoot replies yes.
- After Blackfoot receives his life, Shadowstar, appears from the StarClan ranks. The white tom asks if she, the founder of ShadowClan wants him to lead the Clan, and she replies yes. Blackfoot tells her that he will try, and that the Clans will have a few peaceful seasons. The black she-cat tells him that the Clan's troubles are to come, and before he could ask, he receives another vision. Blackfoot watches numerous events that may happen in the future and asks Shadowstar if the things he saw will happen. She replies that those are only events that may happen, and that the white tom's choices will matter. Blackfoot receives his final life from Shadowstar, and she hails Blackfoot by his new name, Blackstar.
