The Clan begins to repair the camp. Bramblestar goes to check on how the work is going, and he sees Squirrelflight, who tells him that the repairs are going well. He follows her into the camp, and the hollow is full of cats. Brackenfur is directing the building work, and Briarlight is helping the medicine cats sort herbs. Jessy asks to Bramblestar to see the nursery. Lionblaze is patching the roof, and Cinderheart purrs that it is perfect. Daisy and the other kittypets are spreading moss, and Lionblaze meows that he will visit once his mate'skits are born. Bramblestar mews that Jessy can help the apprentices with the warriors' den. He then assists Squirrelflight repair the elders' den, and she murmurs that he is getting along well with Jessy. He is embarrassed and responds that she is a nice cat. Squirrelflight awkwardly mews that it would be fine if he wants Jessy to stay. Bramblestar wonders if it is what he wants, and he then hears Lionblaze and Jayfeather talking. He thinks that his sons are so talented and confident, and grief fills him when he blurts that he misses Hollyleaf. Squirrelflight's eyes are full of sorrow, and she answers that she also does.
Cloudtail, Blossomfall, Dovewing, and Berrynose bring prey into the hollow from the tunnel. The Clan cheerfully eats, and Bramblestar overhears Blossomfall and Rosepetal talking. Rosepetal asks if Bumblestripe and Dovewing aren't mates anymore, and Bramblestar sees that the two warriors are far away from each other and both look downcast. Blossomfall replies that Dovewing never seemed right for her brother, and Rosepetal says that Bumblestripe will find another mate soon. Jessy sits down beside him, and Bramblestar worries about the future as he thinks of Squirrelflight. The brown she-cat meows that the deputy wants him. Squirrelflight mews that they could celebrate with Lilypaw'swarrior ceremony, as the apprentice fought well against the badgers. Bramblestar agrees, and asks Lilypaw to come forward. He speaks the words of the ceremony, and he names her Lilyheart for her courage, and because Seedpaw and Sorreltail will live forever in her heart. Poppyfrost and Brackenfur are both proud.
Graystripe and Sandstorm then step forward. The two cats ask to become elders, and Bramblestar feels a pang of sorrow. He says that he can hold their ceremony now, and Graystripe begins that he is blessed by StarClan and is glad to have returned to ThunderClan. He continues that he will never forget Silverstream or his kits with her, and he is also proud of all his kits with Millie. Sandstorm mews that she will continue to serve the Clan as an elder and wishes Firestar is still at her side. Bramblestar holds their ceremony, and he meows that ThunderClan honors their service. The two new elders stand beside Purdy, and Bramblestar briefly thinks that he sees Firestar and Dustpelt united with Sandstorm and Graystripe before the two StarClan cats disappear.
I, Bramblestar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Lilypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?
Lilypaw:
I do.
Bramblestar:
Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Lilypaw, from this moment you will be known as Lilyheart. I give you this name in recognition of your courage, and because Seedpaw and Sorreltail will live forever in your heart. ThunderClan honors your bravery and dedication, and we welcome you as a full member of ThunderClan.
