Branch is a tabby tom.[1]
In Hawkwing's Journey, after the SkyClan cats leave the gorge, they cross through the Twolegplace and encounter Shorty, who offers them a place to spend the night. On the way there, the brown tom mentions to Leafstar that she can meet some old friends, and adds that he now has kits with Cora. When the Clan cats and Shorty arrive in the rogue camp, Shorty quickly dashes off, and soon returns with a slender black she-cat that Leafstar recognizes as none other than Cora. Leafstar notices that there are three kits frisking around her paws, and she wonders who they are.
Leafstar and Cora exchange news, and the SkyClan leader asks if those three rambunctious kits are hers. Cora says they are, and her eyes shine proudly as she explains that the two tabbies are Branch and Stone, and the she-cat is Night. The black queen tells her kits to come and meet Leafstar. The three young cats, who had been happily play-fighting, straighten up and dip their heads to the brown-and-cream tabby, gazing at her with wide eyes. Cora notes that she and Shorty told them all about Leafstar and her Clan. Later, as Leafstar, Shorty, and Stick talk, Stick mentions that Dodge has been causing trouble again. Shorty agrees that things are getting really bad, and adds that he and Cora are scared for their kits.
