The Sun Trail
- When Silver Frost offers Misty Water an eagle carcass, she declines the offer, and states that ever since Broken Feather died, she had no appetite. She notes that he would have lived if there was enough prey to eat, and adds that she would be waiting to join him.
- When Snow Hare tells Gray Wing that Misty Water was too old and nearly blind to go find Jagged Peak, Gray Wing notes that Broken Feather told him many times that Misty Water was the best scent tracker he had ever known.
