- Casper is a kittypet and the father of Cleo's two kits, Scout and Hunter. After Cleo gives birth, Casper does not believe their Twolegs will take away their kits, but Cleo is skeptical and guides her kits to the forest so they would be safe. Days later, Casper finds Cleo in the river with Night and attacks the black-and-white she-cat, believing she was drowning his mate. Cleo yanks her mate off Night and scolds him for his rash actions. Casper realizes his mistake and apologizes. He explains that their old Twolegs left and the new ones seem kinder, suspecting they might be willing to adopt all four cats. Cleo hopes Casper might be willing to stay with them, but Casper convinces her that their kits will be safer as kittypets. He apologizes again to River Ripple for attacking Night since he was just trying to protect his mate, though River Ripple dryly wonders why he took so long to find her. Seasons later, Riverstar, Night, and Drizzle speak with Cleo in her Twoleg nest, and she still lives with Casper, Hunter, and Scout.
