Chapter description[]
- Little Daisy spots a Clan patrol consisting of Mousewhisker, Sorrelstripe, and Sparkpelt coming towards the Horseplace. They ask Daisy why she did not return to ThunderClan after leaving the Sisters. Daisy replies that she is needed here, and when the patrol says that ThunderClan needs her, Little Daisy and Coriander are bewildered and ask Daisy if she would leave them. The Clan cats reasons why she has to return to ThunderClan, such as Spotfur having kits, but her mate, Stemleaf dieing. After thinking, Daisy decides with clarity that she has to go back to ThunderClan.
- Smoky comes out of the barn, greets the patrol and talks with Mousewhisker. Mousewhisker asks Daisy if she is ready to give up ThunderClan and remain with Smoky and the kits, and Daisy replies that she will think about the decision. At night, Smoky and Daisy talk about her leaving, and Smoky says that he will not stop her from leaving. After arguing with Smoky about taking the kits with her into ThunderClan, she tells Smoky and the kits that she has to return to ThunderClan. In the morning, she says farewell to Smoky and the kits, and returns to ThunderClan. Afterwards, she thinks that ThunderClan is where she belongs.
