Dodge's group is a group of rogues known for causing trouble with SkyClan and Stick's group. It was led by Dodge himself; however, after his death, Harley took over leadership of the group. They are hostile to outsiders, such as other Twolegplace alley cats, kittypets, and SkyClan.

Description

Dodge's group lives in a different part of the Twolegplace than Stick's group, where Twoleg waste and boxes are, near a stream with flimsy material that is beside spindly trees edge it. Percy, a friend of Stick, questions Leafstar when she asks where the borders are among the Twolegplace, but Coal states that neither groups has territory or borders, as cats can go anywhere. Cora adds that any alley cat catches what they catch, and if every cat hunts for themselves, there'll be enough prey in the Twolegplace for both groups. Stick also states to SkyClan before attacking them is that Dodge lives in Twoleg boxes.

Dodge's cats steal prey from Stick's group, even trying to harm them and drive them out. Stick and his cats go to SkyClan, though at first they are made warriors by Leafstar after helping them fend off rats; however, Stick reveals to SkyClan that he needs their help fighting off Dodge's group of cats that are bringing them reckless through the Twolegplace. With some thoughts from Sharpclaw, Leafstar agrees to help Stick's group fight off Dodge and his cats. During the trek through the Twolegplace, Cora states that between each of the groups, there are no borders like there are in SkyClan. When meeting Dodge, Stick growls, wanting revenge for his daughter, Red, where another member of his group, Harley, has become her mate. The next day, the battle begins, and though Stick and Dodge almost kill each other, Red and Harley appear, and Stick lets his own personal grudge overpower his thoughts as he attacks Harley, but Red gets in the way, taking the blow, and dies. Dodge growls to Stick to not harm a hair on Harley's pelt, and then Leafstar declares the battle over. She says that Dodge's cats must leave Stick's group alone, and for Stick to protect his group and dens. After that, all cats leave.

Hawkwing's Journey

"It is over. But I'll give their so-called leader one more chance. What is it to be? Fight for us, or against us? There is no other choice."

Harley escorts Leafstar, Hawkwing, and the other SkyClan cats to his camp, where Dodge was wanting to bargain a deal with them, since he has taken their apprentice, Curlypaw, as prisoner. Dodge also mentions while meeting SkyClan that he knew of Darktail and his group when the tom passed through the Twolegplace and helped him look for SkyClan at the gorge. Though Harley promises that no cat would be harmed in the meeting, Dodge lies after Leafstar's refusal to help Dodge and his cats drive out Stick's group from the Twolegplace, though she also wants to rescue Curlypaw. Hawkwing then steps up for his Clan and Leafstar against Dodge, asking him to fight one-on-one, also stating that a real leader steps up and leads even in the face of uncertainty; that's bravery. Dodge then accepts Hawkwing's challenge and fights him. After a deal is made between Hawkwing and Dodge, they fight. And though Dodge is much bigger than Hawkwing, the SkyClan tom overpowers him, thinking of Dodge's recent tactic with Darktail. Hawkwing ends up killing Dodge, and in the end, Harley steps up for leadership over the group, and lets Curlypaw go back to her Clan, and also letting SkyClan leave peacefully with Shorty.
