Tawnypelt announces the apprentices' return. Squirrelflight and Tawnypelt congratulate Breezepaw on his catch, but the WindClan apprentice didn't show pride. Rather, he was anxiously awaiting for [[Crowfeather|Croweather's]] praise, which never came. All the warriors praise the apprentices' catches, and [[Stormfur]] and [[Brook Where Small Fish Swim|Brook]] thank them for it, though Jaypaw can sense discomfort being the two, realizing that by accepting the fresh-kill, they were admitting their weakness. After the cats say their last good-byes, Stormfur and Brook pick up the fresh-kill and head back to the mountains. As they head back to the lake, the Clan cats discuss whether or not they'll ever see Stormfur and Brook again.
