Chapter description[]
- Ivypaw murmurs to Tigerstar in a dream, and her Clanmates hear her. Alarmed, she sits up and tells Dovepaw that she has to talk to Firestar. Ivypaw hurries across the camp as the other cats stare at her, and steps into Firestar's den. The leader is consulting Graystripe and Brambleclaw about patrols along the ShadowClan border. She interjects and nervously says that she had a dream. Ivypaw explains how she was on the land that was given to ShadowClan, but it was awash with ThunderClan blood while ShadowClan cats declared that they would be destroyed. She continues that there were also ShadowClan cats in the camp, and Graystripe thinks that there is truth to it while Brambleclaw is doubtful. Ivypaw tells Firestar that nobody else knows, and when he asks who was in the dream, she lists some names to make them believe her. Brambleclaw says that surrendering the Twolegplace made them look vulnerable while Graystripe defends the decision, and the leader admits that it may have sent the wrong message. Firestar tells her to not even tell Dovepaw about it, and thinking about Tigerstar, Ivypaw is surprised and proud that they believe her.
