Thunderstar's Echo[]
- Feather Ear and her littermates are born to Violet Dawn and Thunderstar, the ThunderClan leader. Thunderstar mentions his new kits at a Gathering, and all five Clans congratulate him. After Thunderstar returns, he enters the nursery to see Violet Dawn and their kits. Violet Dawn tells him that she named two of the four kits, Shell Claw and Feather Ear.

The Ultimate Guide: Updated and Expanded Edition[]
- During a Gathering, a group of dogs attacks the Clans that are gathered. They attempt to disperse and flee, but Feather Ear, one of Thunderstar's daughters, is caught in the fray. Skystar, her grandfather, sees Feather Ear backed into a corner, snarling and hissing and attempting to make herself look threatening. Seeing this, Skystar charges at the dogs, giving Feather Ear the moment she needs in order to escape the fight. Skystar lunges at the white dog, claws unsheathed, and Feather Ear takes this chance and flees, although Skystar is killed in the process. Upon Skystar's ascendance into StarClan, Shadowstar mentions that she is proud of Skystar for using his last life to save Feather Ear.
