"I wish my housefolk were here to give us some food right now. My belly’s growling so hard!"
— Milo far from his Twoleg nest at the monster camp in Pebbleshine's Kits, chapter 4

Milo is an orange tom.[1]

Pebbleshine's Kits[]

"Not all kittypets are weak, [Pebbleshine] reminded herself, thinking of the daylight warriors of SkyClan. But she was still surprised that cats with no Clan training had so much stamina. They even relaxed enough to chase butterflies and have a friendly scuffle along the way, Olive rolling with Milo among the roots of a tree. Pebbleshine’s spirits lifted as she watched their teasing and fun."
―Pebbleshine traveling with Milo and Olive Pebbleshine's Kits, chapter 4
When Pebbleshine is threatened by a kittypet named Coco, Milo and Olive rush out to defend the pregnant queen. They criticize the aggressive kittypet, asking why she could not be friendly, Coco retorts that she would never want to be friends with them, and stomps off to her Twoleg den. Milo and Olive introduce themselves to Pebbleshine, offering to bring her food and water from their housefolk nests. Pebbleshine declines, and Milo and Olive are astounded to learn that she is a wild cat without housefolk to care for her. Milo instead offers to show her where she can find water, which Pebbleshine gratefully accepts.
They lead her to a stream on the outskirts of the Twolegplace, and when Olive asks if there is anything more they can do for her, Pebbleshine asks the kittypets if they know the location of the monster camp where she had last seen SkyClan. Milo exclaims that they know of such a place, and Olive offers to take Pebbleshine there, though Milo mentions that their housefolk will be frantic if they end up missing for the night. Pebbleshine begs for their help, and while Milo hesitates, Olive persuades him to come along. Before they leave, Milo is enthusiastic to eat, and mentions that they should say goodbye to their housefolk. He is shocked when Pebbleshine refuses to eat with them, instead opting to hunt for herself. After a while, he and Olive reemerge from their Twoleg den alongside a female Twoleg, who pets them affectionately. After she returns to her den, Milo and Olive approach Pebbleshine, ready to head out on their journey. Milo starts trampling through some bushes, but is questioned by Olive if he is going the right way. They bicker for a moment, until Olive meows that Milo can have it his way.
They treck through long grass besides a Thunderpath, and Pebbleshine questions if they will have to follow if the whole way. Milo unfortunately says they do, explaining that their Twolegs take them to the Cutter that way, and they are unaware of another way. Along the way, Milo and Olive chase butterflies and scuffle together playfully. Milo asks Pebbleshine what a Clan is when the queen recounts her past, and the concept is appealing to the young orange kittypet. Pebbleshine mentions her mate, Hawkwing, and Milo asks if he is SkyClan's leader. He further asks what had happened to SkyClan when Pebbleshine alludes to Darktail, and Pebbleshine says that he and Olive would make good warriors. Milo asserts that they could not leave their housefolk, and wonders what they would do without them. Pebbleshine explains how SkyClan had daylight warriors, who served their Clan in the day and returned to their Twolegs at night, and Milo remarks that that would be perfect.
As the sun begins to set, Milo meows that they are almost at the monster camp. Once they arrive, Pebbleshine solemnly informs the kittypets that while it was a monster camp, it was not the one where she had stayed with SkyClan, shocking Milo. Milo and Olive press against the Clan queen sympathetically, who offers to hunt for them when the orange tom wishes his housefolk were there to feed him. Milo is amazed by the big squirrel she catches, and he and Olive hesitantly dig in, discovering that they much prefer the pellets their housefolk feed them. In the morning, Milo informs Pebbleshine that he and Olive have to return to their housefolk, and offers for her to join them. However, the queen thoughtfully refuses, and the two kittypets disappear among the Twoleg dens.
