Chapter Summary

Fireheart's PoV

Fireheart wakes up to see Graystripe, who is hunched over. He asks Graystripe if he was alright, to which he replies that he was. Fireheart notes that Graystripe was trying to be positive.

Fireheart comments that it looks cold, Graystripe tells him that it was cold. Fireheart asks his friend what he was doing with Brackenpaw. Graystripe tells him that he was going to take his apprentice into the territory. Fireheart says that he could take Cinderpaw and they could go together.

Graystripe tells Fireheart that they should travel alone. Fireheart suggests that later they share a mouse and compare their apprentices. Graystripe comments that it would be nice.

Fireheart heads over to the apprentice den for his apprentice, Cinderpaw. He calls to her, and steps out of the den. She walks out, and asks him what they were doing. Fireheart replies that he was going to show her the territory. Cinderpaw asks if they were going to see the Thunderpath, and Fireheart replies that they were.

Fireheart asks Cinderpaw if she was hungry.
