- At a Gathering, Tigerstar announces that Cinnamontail has given birth to a litter of kits.

- Dovewing watches over Firkit and Whisperkit while Cinnamontail, Bloomkit, and Streamkit recover from greencough. He attends Rowankit's vigil. While Dovewing stays for her son's vigil, Hopwhisker guides Firkit, Whisperkit, and Birchkit to the nursery. Later, Firkit and Whisperkit play under their father Slatefur's watchful eye. When Tigerstar and Berryheart argue in the camp, Firkit, Whisperkit, and Birchkit are too busy playing to notice.
