StormClan's Folly

"StormClan made a kind of sense before. When we had two leaders. One from WindClan and one from ThunderClan. But now...now we WindClan cats are just following the leader of another Clan."

Flash was a former kittypet who joined WindClan and becomes a warrior. He joins StormClan when Galestar decided to merge WindClan with ThunderClan. During their journey to find a new home, they encounter some Twoleg kits making curious noises. Using his knowledge of Twolegs, Flash reassures his Clanmates that the Twoleg kits appear friendly and lets a Twoleg kit pet him. Stripestar, Tumbletail, Tinyclaw, and Fernwhisper are bewildered by his strange behavior, especially when Flash seems to enjoy being petted. One of the Twoleg kits offers a piece of white meat to Flash, and he prompts his Clanmates to join him. However, the adult Twolegs angrily interrupt them, causing StormClan to flee. When StormClan settles in an abandoned Twoleg nest for leaf-bare, Galestar wonders if Stripestar feels threatened by Flash's expertise. He gives his Clanmates tips on hunting mice and informs them about the mysterious flat object that sometimes comes alive with colorful pictures at night. However, Stripestar angrily confronts Flash when the Twolegs return to claim their nest, though Flash insists he has never heard of Twolegs reclaiming abandoned land, and StormClan is forced to leave the nest in leaf-bare.

In greenleaf, Stripestar is determined to catch another hawk at their new home on top of the fox-headed mountain. He brings Flash, Berryfall, and Tumbletail with him. However, a hawk instead kills Rainkit. At the sun-drown-place, a gull wounds Flash's shoulder, causing Goldenleaf and Stoneflower to treat it. After Galestar and her kits supposedly die, Flash and the other StormClan cats reason that StormClan is no more with Galestar gone.
