History

StormClan's Folly

Fogkit is born to StormClan's two joint-leaders, Stripestar and Galestar at their temporary camp at the sun-drown-place. She is the only she-kit in her litter, and Galestar names her Fogkit after Stripestar's former mate, Fogdrift. When the kits are old enough, Galestar and Stripestar let them explore the beach. When Stripestar recognizes warning signs from his dreams about an impending storm, he tries to convince his mate that they should evacuate the sun-drown-place. Hurt by his secrecy, Galestar refuses. However, Galestar agrees to evacuate once the nursery cave begins to flood. She ushers her kits and the rest of the Clan through the severe storm until they reach shelter underneath a rocky ledge. Two days later, StormClan leaves the rocky ledge until it begins to rain again. Fogkit bolts when thunder frightens her. Galestar loses sight of her Clan after Pebblekit goes missing. She leads them to a crevasse to shelter until the storm passes, through a rockslide traps them inside. Stripestar and the rest of StormClan attempt to locate Fogkit and the other missing cats. However, StormClan eventually believes they died in the storm, and the Clan returns to the forest.

Fogkit and her family are rescued by the wildcats Bound Hunt, Hunt Fly, and Whisper Groom. Fogkit and Pebblekit eagerly climb on Bound Hunt's back as the wildcats lead them to the rest of their group. The family is welcomed into the group, and several wildcat she-cats begin to groom the kits. Later, Fogkit and her family are formally accepted into the group and given ancestor guides. The wildcat ancestor Nuzzle Hiss agrees to mentor Fogkit, renaming her Fog Nuzzle.

Fog Nuzzle later trains with Bound Hunt alongside her fellow trainees, Wiggle Leap and Flutter Sneeze. Bound Hunt teaches them a fighting move, though Fog Nuzzle struggles to master it. To cheer her up, Bound Hunt recalls how also found the move tricky with his own teacher. Bound Hunt adjusts the technique for her own size, and Fog Nuzzle is pleased when she lands the move. Later, Fog Nuzzle, Pebble Lunge, Thrush Roll, Wiggle Leap, and Flutter Sneeze are appointed as prowlers. Fog Nuzzle communes with Nuzzle Hiss once more to receive their guidance. Galestar asks what Nuzzle Hiss said to her, but Fog Nuzzle insists it was for her ears only.

Ivypool's Heart

Whistlepaw receives a dream about three kits lost in a perilous storm, prompting her quest to correct the past. In the eternal hunting grounds of the wildcats' ancestors, Ivypool spots two other cats resembling Galestar hesitating in the background while she approaches. Galestar later recalls StormClan's journey to Ivypool and her peets. She gives birth to three kits during StormClan's journey to find a new home, at their temporary camp near the sun-drown-place. The former ThunderClan cats are eager to find a permanent home before leaf-bare, and the kits' father, Stripestar, agrees. Galestar and her kits are separated from the others in a storm, where they are later rescued by the wildcats. Galestar and Bound Hunt raised her kits together, and her older kits eventually found mates with the wildcats. Later, Ivypool spots them among the other ancestors to welcome Stalk Purr, Tumble Leap, and their kits into the group. Ivypool assumes they are Galestar's kits.
