Blunt gist is policies need some revisions to keep up with the times so to say. Reason being is that many rules are automatically assumed by the community. Granted, half of those are common sense, but some aren't and ought to be explained to those new. It's been said time and time again that the policies need revisions, however the proposals along with those move towards an entire overhaul. Overhauls take copious amounts of time, patience, and community consensus not to mention the pretty big issue of the impact and effects. With that being said, I propose a place where policy revisions can be discussed in a smaller detail. Some place where we can take the process a bit slower and go rule by rule with additions or revisions rather than trying to rewrite it all. Through this method, it also allows the community to continuously suggest revisions or additions in light of events or trends. Also, to prevent any "smart ideas", there should be a little introduction asking users really consider their suggestions and the benefit or clarification it offers. That being said, the standards must be set from the start with intellectual discussions for examples and archiving purposes. Places for this that I was considering was another subpage off of the community portal. Comments? Atelda insert vague subtext here 02:33, July 12, 2014 (UTC)

Another subpage would be fine with me. I think allowing a place to discuss the rules and propose additions and things would be a really good idea. We're always telling people if they have suggestions, to bring them up...but have we ever really had an appropriate place to put them? No, not really. This would be a good idea and I support it. I agree with the subpage, it sounds like a perfect idea. -Ducksauce 05:27, July 12, 2014 (UTC)
