Question on the Table: Should we extend the hand of friendship to Seekers Wiki and offer to partner with them in an "Erin Hunter Alliance" on wikia?

Comment I'm not sure where to appropriately point this out this, other than here, but up where it mentions when the voting will begin, a date is not specified. :3 Thistle 18:42, May 18, 2013 (UTC)
Comment This worked perfectly fine. I fixed it. Thank you for pointing that out. I was doing too many things at once and missed that somehow.  Kitsufox  Den/CoSC 12:52, May 19, 2013 (UTC)
Vote-yay I can't miss the party =) But yes, this would be a nice addition to both websites, I see nothing wrong with it. —Tawny Lace is my otp<3 21:57 Saturday May 18 2013

Vote-nay I think seekers is good enough on its own, Survivors is newer and could use a hand. --I'm really going to enjoy this! 22:02, May 18, 2013 (UTC) Vote-nay -- 22:32, May 18, 2013 (UTC) Struck. IPs don't get votes.  Kitsufox  Den/CoSC 13:56, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Comment Just to point it out, Xain, I'm an admin of Seekers, and we only have so few active users. We're also trying to set up our own PCA, and we're currently trying to get potential art; we may need some help, and some more users. It's also not that fair; we 100% agree and want this alliance, but it's not that fair if Warriors and Survivors leave us out.Sorrel It's everything I dreamed 22:45, May 18, 2013 (UTC)
Comment Sorrel, survivors is in need of more help than seekers do, and we need to be partnered with only one wiki and that is survivors, I will not change my opinion or vote. --I'm really going to enjoy this! 23:01, May 18, 2013 (UTC)s
CommentI'm not saying you should change your opinion or vote! I'm just pointing it out. I respect your opinion, and I'm sorry if I've offended or provoked you. Sorrel It's everything I dreamed 23:05, May 18, 2013 (UTC)
Comment As a note, you are not restricted to "partnering" with only one wiki. A prolific number of wikis have "ties" to copious other wikis, some of which are related only through genre. Atelda insert vague subtext here 00:55, May 19, 2013 (UTC)

Comment Atelda I never said that we couldn't partner up with more than one wiki I meant that it would be harder to be partnered with more than one wiki. --I'm really going to enjoy this! -Loudshadow 01:15, May 19, 2013 (UTC)
Comment Pardon me, but how would it be harder? Atelda insert vague subtext here 01:23, May 19, 2013 (UTC)
Comment At this time, the only work related to the Partnership would be an advertising link at the top of the page (any other partnered endeavors we might decide to do to benefit each other will be decided and approved separately, if the partnerships are formed). Partner was just a word I picked at random instead of "Sister Sites" because it worked more succinctly in a sentence than "lets become sister sites".  Kitsufox  Den/CoSC 12:49, May 19, 2013 (UTC)
Comment Xain, I'm pretty sure this partership isn't about "helping" a wiki, so to say. It's moreso linking all three works that "Erin Hunter" writes. I see other wikis that are "affiliated" all the time. Take for example the Mass Effect Wiki and Dragon Age Wiki. They're both totally different games, ME being space and alien related, and DA being related to dragons, elves, and magic, also taking place in a totally different time. But, they're both products of one company, Bioware, and both make references to others, and so alike in many different ways (I own multiple games in both sets of things, so there's your proof on that), so they're technically "sister" games, due to their similar nature and creation origin. On their own, both wikis are amazing and full of information. They are also linked to wikis partnered with the Assassin's Creed wiki All three games are extremely popular in the gaming world, and especially with the RPG fans, like myself. They have a partership with each other, and many other wikis, because they share a common goal and interest; to give their users as much information as possible by doing everything they can. It shows that we're aware of the other works that use the Erin Hunter name, and how we consider Seekers and Survivors part of the group. We wouldn't go in and change anything that you guys have done, nor would we want to. It's a partership that could very well gain both the Seekers and Survivors wikis new members, to mention at least one thing. We're not saying that you're not allowed your opinion, nor are we holding it against you. Multiple other wikis do it all the time, and it's to show that we're working together to achieve a goal. Strength in numbers is something that, if you've got it, you should utilize it to the fullest extent. Jayce  ( 13:11, 5/19/2013 )
