"It's our duty to provide the Clan with new warriors."
— Hawkfoot to Daisytail in Code of the Clans, page 50

Hawkfoot is a dark brown she-cat.[1]

History[]

In the Novellas[]

Pinestar's Choice[]

«A dark brown she-cat, Hawkfoot of WindClan, gave Pineheart the strength of a nursing queen when defending her young.»
—Hawkfoot giving Pineheart a life Pinestar's Choice, chapter 5
During Pineheart's leadership ceremony, Hawkfoot gives him a life for having the strength of a nursing queen when defending her young.

In the Field Guides[]

Code of the Clans[]

Hawkfoot is an ancient WindClan queen with kits a half moon younger than Specklepaw. While Daisytail, a fellow queen, watches her son, Specklepaw, during a training session, Hawkfoot peers anxiously out of the nursery, asking if Daisytail is okay. Daisytail responds that she cannot have her son fight, though Hawkfoot points out that Specklepaw is an apprentice who is being trained to fight. Daisytail then asks her if she would let her kits fight ShadowClan warriors if they were old enough, and Hawkfoot reasons that it is their duty to provide the Clan with warriors. Daisytail responds to Hawkfoot that there is no point in sending out apprentices that will never make it to warrior life while stalking away from the nursery. Hawkfoot asks where she is going and is answered by a quick statement of putting a stop to it.
Right before the start of a battle between ShadowClan and WindClan, Daisytail stops it with Hawkfoot right beside her. After Daisytail explains why she has stopped the battle, a ShadowClan queen walks toward Daisytail and Hawkfoot, explaining that the two WindClan queens visited her two sunrises ago to explain their cause. Moments later, Oakleaf joins them, along with several other ShadowClan and WindClan queens. Hawkfoot and Daisytail's stand leads to code five of the warrior code, which insists that kits should be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.

Quotes[]

Hawkfoot: "Daisytail? Are you okay?"
Daisytail: "There’s going to be another battle with ShadowClan. I can't let Specklepaw fight, I just can't!"
Hawkfoot: "You don't have a choice. He's an apprentice now; this is what he's being trained for."
Daisytail: "And if your kits are apprentices by then, will you let them go? Knowing they'll face blood-hungry ShadowClan warriors?"
Hawkfoot: "It's our duty to provide the Clan with new warriors."
