James L. Barry is the former main illustrator for the Warriors graphic novel series.[5] On October 2nd, 2023, James announced that he was retiring from the Warriors series as a comic artist, with A Thief in ThunderClan being his last work in the series.[6]

Biography[]

He currently resides in Brooklyn, NY,[7] and formerly in New York, NY.[8] Barry has been involved in the creative fields of animation, illustration, and storyboarding.[9] He has contributed several installments of the Warriors graphic novel series,[10] as an illustrator as well as illustrating numerous textbooks and storyboards.[9] Barry has also exhibited his art in New York's Museum of Comic and Cartooning Art and is a frequent contributor to the Rabid Rabbit Comic Anthology.[9]
James Barry has received the Master of Fine Arts (MFA) graduate degree from the School of Visual Arts located in New York.[11] He has engaged with clients including HarperCollins, TOKYOPOP, Young and Rubicam, and Real Media Solutions.[12]
