History
In the Power of Three arc
Long Shadows
- Lapping Wave does not formally appear, but he is mentioned as one of Owl Feather's and Jagged Lightning's small kits before the Ancients' journey to the mountains.
In the Omen of the Stars arc
Sign of the Moon
- He bounces up to Chasing Clouds but then shrinks back to his mother once they smell the blood on his body. He later is drawn close to his mother when the Ancients decide to go back to the the lake.
- Lapping Wave tries to suckle from his emaciated mother. He begins to wail along with his siblings because she runs out of milk and they are still hungry. When Stone Song tells him of the adventure they just had, it is mentioned his and his siblings' mouths were wide open, most likely in awe.
