Larkwing is a gray tabby tom.[1]
In Mapleshade's Vengeance, Larkwing is one of the medicine cats who attend the half-moon Gathering. After Mapleshade murders Ravenwing, the ThunderClan medicine cat, the other medicine cats discover his body. Larkwing exclaims in shock, asking Sloefur what happened. Sloefur sniffs Ravenwing, he is horrified and tells Larkwing that Ravenwing is dead. Larkwing tells Sloefur that they could not leave Ravenwing there, so they drag him out and decide to bury Ravenwing by Highstones.

- Vicky has previously stated that despite their different descriptions, the Larkwing who appears in Firestar's Quest, Cloudstar's Journey, and Mapleshade's Vengeance are all the same cat.[2] However, the timeline presented in StormClan's Folly contradicts this.
