Nightpelt proposes they should fight Brokenstar, but Cinderfur and his allies are hesitant about breaking the warrior code. The brown-and-white cat wonders if Nightpelt is being serious or not. In ShadowClan's camp, Nightpelt signals to Cinderfur and his allies to be ready to attack. They reunite with Hollyflower and excitedly greet Volepaw when he returns to camp.
