This article contains information mainly from the 2007field guide, Secrets of the Clans. While based on canonical information, the book has been repeatedly retconned as the series progressed, and thus its credibility is questioned.
The following is a list of characters that do not fit the guidelines for receiving their own page, whether it be due to lack of a name, proper history, or other matters. This page lists minor characters from Secrets of the Clans.
"You will be warriors! From now on, you will live by a warrior code. Your hearts will be filled with courage and nobility, and if you must fight, it will be not for greed, but for honor and justice."
When the cats begin to argue, a tabby she-cat who died in the fight appears on a rock. She meows that the cats are foolish and should think beyond themselves, and continues that the forest is big enough to feed everyone and the survivors must find others and set borders. The tabby later yowls that they will be warriors.
White StarClan tom[]
"You will see us above you in Silverpelt, and know we are watching."
A white tom steps up from the starry cats and meows that the Clan founders will be given eight more lives so that they can be leader for many moons. He says that the Clans will gather in peace every moon, and if the truce is broken, StarClan will be angry.
Tortoiseshell StarClan she-cat[]
"We will watch over you from Silverpelt. We will visit you in your dreams and guide you on your journeys."
When ShadowClan raids the WindClan camp, a large ShadowClan warrior tackles Thrushwing to the ground, cutting off the WindClan warrior's shriek of warning. The large cat’s teeth stab into her neck as more ShadowClan warriors come into the clearing.
When Brambleberry announces that Mosskit is coming to join StarClan, the warrior is scornful of their her half-Clan heritage. They are then rebuffed by Brambleberry, who insists that Mosskit is innocent of her heritage.
The RiverClan spirit reasons that Bluestar's kits would be safer with RiverClan if Oakheart would take them. They say that RiverClan has more prey than any other Clan.
When Mothflight discovers the Moonstone, she is greeted by several StarClan spirits. They each inform her that she had discovered the sacred Moonstone and instruct her to return to the Clans with her knowledge, informing her that she will learn the ways of healing herbs, interpret StarClan's omens, and advise her leader. The spirits summon Windstar via her dream, telling the WindClanleader that Mothflight will return and gather Dapplepelt of RiverClan, Pebbleheart of ShadowClan, and Cloudspots of ThunderClan to become the first medicine cats. The spirits instruct Mothflight to bring the other three cats back to the Moonstone next half-moon.
When Cloudpaw passes by a green fence, a gate opens and a Twoleg female comes to him and makes a cooing sound. She goes back into her nest and sets food and milk on the doorstep. The Twoleg soon lets him go into the den after a few days.
When Cloudpaw is let into the Twoleg nest, he meets the Twolegs’ dog. The dog tries to play with him at first, but isn’t dangerous as Cloudpaw says it is barely smart enough to walk.
Crowfeather is sent to chase after two ShadowClan cats during the battle where Mudclaw tried overthrowingOnewhisker. The two ShadowClan cats fall to their deaths after being chased off a cliff.
Barley's mother[]
"My mother taught me and my littermates how to scrounge for food and how to fight. She loved us, but she had to be harsh, or we would never learn to survive. When we were twelve moons old, she threw us out of her den. She had no choice. Scourge had decreed that all cats must fend for themselves."
Barley’s mother is a member of BloodClan and had four kits- Barley, Hoot, Jumper and Violet. She taught him and her other kits how to scrounge for food and how to fight. She loved her kits but was forced to be harsh, or they would never learn how to survive. When her kits turned twelve moons old, she was forced to kick them out of her den as Scourge decreed all cats must fend for themselves.
