The Warriors series is incredibly long, with each book published in a relatively short span of time. As a result, mistakes often appear in the novels, the images, and in the official website devoted to the series. For brevity, these articles do not contain grammatical or spelling errors. This article documents many of these mistakes in the A Vision of Shadows arc.

The Apprentice's Quest

• Beetlewhisker is listed in the allegiances, despite having died in The Last Hope.
• In the audiobook, Jayfeather says the Great Battle occurred 18 months earlier when he should instead say moons.
• Alderkit is mistakenly called by his apprentice name shortly before his ceremony.
• Dustpelt is said to have died in the Great Storm, when he was actually killed by badgers.

Thunder and Shadow

• Larkwing is listed in the allegiances as an apprentice.
• Beetlewhisker is listed in the allegiances, despite having died in The Last Hope.
• Tawnypelt is called the ShadowClan deputy.
• Violetkit is described with amber eyes.
• Twigkit is mistakenly called Twigpaw multiple times before receiving her apprentice name.
• Despite Cloudtail being told to guard Furzepelt's body, he is seen back at camp.
• Juniperpaw is called a she-cat.
• Violetkit is mistakenly called Violetpaw before receiving her apprentice name.
• Twigpaw is mistakenly called Twigkit after receiving her apprentice name.
• Rowanstar is described as having green eyes.
• The stream that separates ThunderClan territory from WindClan territory is mistakenly described as separating WindClan territory from ShadowClan territory.
• Leafpaw is mistakenly called a tom.
• Crowfrost is mistakenly described as the ShadowClan leader during a confrontation with Bramblestar.
• Wavepaw is mistakenly called a tom multiple times.
• Brindlepaw is mistakenly called a tom.
• Twice on one page, Alderheart is called by his apprentice name after being made a full medicine cat.

Shattered Sky

• Wasptail is listed in the allegiances, despite dying in Thunder and Shadow.
• Rain is said to have both of his eyes despite losing one.
• Hawkwing is described with amber eyes throughout the entire book.
• Beetlewhisker is shown alive despite dying in The Last Hope.
• Petalfur is said to be alive despite dying earlier.
• Snowbird is said to have two kits, when in actuality she is nursing three kits at the time: Conekit, Frondkit, and Gullkit.
• Twigpaw is mistakenly called Violetpaw.
• Violetpaw is described with amber eyes.

Darkest Night

• Beetlewhisker and Heronwing are listed in the allegiances, despite dying in earlier books.
  • Furthermore, Beetlewhisker is given his own apprentice, Harepaw, despite his death years earlier.
• It is noted that Cherryfall and Molewhisker are at the back of the group of cats when ThunderClan is going to the Gathering, but it is noted that Sparkpelt is catching up to them.
• Dewpaw is called a brown tabby.
• While Rabbitleap is seen helping to free Finpaw from the fallen branch, he is said to have gone hunting, and he is soon after seen in the SkyClan camp.
• RiverClan's territory is mistakenly said to border ThunderClan's.
• Larksong is called a gray-and-white tom.
• Violetpaw and Twigpaw are said to have barely opened their eyes when Pebbleshine went missing. However, when Alderpaw and Needlepaw originally found them, their eyes were still closed.
• Cloudmist is called tortoiseshell-and-white.
• Harestar is called Harespring twice.
• Needletail was mistakenly called a ShadowClan warrior, despite never earning the rank.
• Twigpaw is mistakenly called Violetpaw.
• Molewhisker is seen following Lionblaze into camp to help Snowbush despite being on the journey with SkyClan's group.
• Tree says that he met Needletail when she was an apprentice, and did not see her again until after she had died, but in the prologue he calls her Needletail instead of Needlepaw, despite having no way to know she had changed her name if that was the second time he had seen her.

River of Fire

• There are multiple mistakes in the allegiances:
  • Millie is called a silver tabby.
  • Finpaw and Twigpaw are listed in SkyClan, despite having left to join ThunderClan in Darkest Night.
  • Beetlewhisker is listed despite dying in The Last Hope.
    • He also still has an apprentice, Harepaw, despite having died many books ago.
  • Heronwing is listed, despite dying in Shattered Sky.
• Cherrytail and Cloudmist are not listed in the allegiances, despite joining SkyClan in the previous book.
• Bramblestar tells Twigpaw that he was an apprentice when Graystripe left to join RiverClan, although in reality he was still a kit at the time.
• In the audiobook, Sandynose is mistakenly called a she-cat.
• Blossomfall is called Blossomheart.
• Twigbranch is called Twigpaw after receiving her warrior name.
• Heronwing, despite dying in Shattered Sky, accidentally replaces Jayclaw in a section of the bonus scene.

The Raging Storm

• There are several mistakes in the allegiances:
  • Millie is called a silver tabby.
  • Beetlewhisker is listed despite dying in The Last Hope.
    • He also still has an apprentice, Harepaw, despite having died many books ago.
  • Heronwing is listed, despite dying in Shattered Sky.
  • Cherrytail and Cloudmist are not listed in the allegiances, despite joining SkyClan in Darkest Night.
• The word doorway is used.
• Alderheart states that Juniperclaw collected deathberries, when it is actually deathberry seeds.
• It is stated that Tawnypelt and Scorchfur are guarding Juniperclaw, however in the next scene, it says that Tawnypelt and Strikestone were guarding him.
• SkyClan is called StarClan.
• Leafstar says that she has nine lives, but she actually has seven lives left.
