The Warriors series is incredibly long, with each book published in a relatively short span of time. As a result, mistakes often appear in the novels, the images, and in the official website devoted to the series. This article documents many of these mistakes in the Omen of the Stars arc.
Several characters were left out of the allegiances of the hardcover edition of the book, despite appearing. These include Millie, Rainstorm, Otterheart, and Sneezepaw. Millie is listed, however, in the paperback release, while Sneezepaw, Otterheart, and Rainstorm are still missing.[1]
Beginning in The Fourth Apprentice and continuing throughout the series, the neutral zone is mentioned as three tail-lengths from the water.[7] However, when the lake territories were established, the neutral zone was two tail-lengths from the water.[8]
Dovepaw's eyes are mistakenly described as pale gold twice.[9]
Yellowfang seems surprised by the attack on Jayfeather at the Moonpool and inquires about who was helping Breezepelt despite being present during the attack and telling Jayfeather she knew who the second cat was during The Fourth Apprentice.[24]
In Night Whispers, it states that Hollowpaw is already in the Place of No Stars, but in Sign of the Moon, it states that Hollowpaw was recently recruited.[35]
When a fox attacks Cherrypaw and Molepaw close to the hollow, Dovewing is shocked she did not hear the fox,[47] even though she knew her powers were not working earlier, ever since she came back from the mountains.[44]
Blackstar is mistakenly called Blackfoot long after he receives his name from StarClan.[48]
Rushtail and Troutstream are mistakenly listed as apprentices.[45]
Brokenstar is mistakenly called by his warrior name, Brokentail.[50]
Cinderpelt is said to have been the only medicine cat in ThunderClan at the time of the Great Journey, despite having Leafpaw as her apprentice at the time.[51]
In the allegiances, Poppyfrost is said to still be in the nursery, with Cherrypaw and Molepaw listed as Cherrykit and Molekit despite being apprentices now.[57]
In the allegiances, Blackstar is said to have one jet black paw.[57]
Furzepelt, Whiskernose, Rushtail, Troutstream, Mossyfoot, and Hollowflight are listed as apprentices in the allegiances despite being made warriors in previous books.[57]
Antpelt is once again listed in the allegiances, despite having died in Sign of the Moon.[57]
Heronpaw is not mentioned in the allegiances[57] despite appearing later in the book.[58]
Half Moon is mistakenly described with amber eyes.[59]
Jayfeather mentions that "every time he saw Leafpool or Squirrelflight or Brambleclaw, [he] felt the prick of betrayal", even though he is blind and has never actually seen any of these cats in his life.[60]
Brightheart is mistakenly said to have two eyes.[73]
When Jayfeather finds out Firestar is the fourth cat, he walks in his dreams. Firestar is fighting ShadowClan over Sunningrocks instead of RiverClan.[74]
