The Warriors series is incredibly long, with each book published in a relatively short span of time. As a result, mistakes often appear in the novels, the images, and in the official website devoted to the series. This article documents many of these mistakes from the Super Editions.
Several details have been changed during Ripple's log ride down the river when he is being swept away from the Cats of the Park compared to the bonus scene in Thunder Rising:
Ripple falls asleep multiple times throughout the ride[4][5] but is forcing himself to stay awake in the bonus scene instead.[6]
He gets washed up on the riverbank[7] despite the bonus scene having him stranded on a boulder in the middle of the river.[8]
Ripple has to be taught how to fish[9] and swim[10][11] despite teaching himself previously.[12]
Dappled Pelt is acting nervous at the prospect of crossing the river, saying she cannot swim and is glad when she does not have to.[13] However, prior to this in The Sun Trail, she teaches herself how to swim and shows enthusiasm for it.[14]
When Gray Wing says that he needs to return to the fire to search for Clear Sky, he says the same dialogue twice nearly word-for-word.[15]

Dappled Pelt heading across the camp is written as "head across the camp".[21]
Moon Shadow is said to have died sometime between being brought to Tall Shadow's camp and a day after Clear Sky's group left for the forest,[22] when in Thunder Rising he doesn't die until at least two days after Clear Sky's group left.[23][24][25][26]
One Eye joins Clear Sky's group and Dew joins River Ripple's group before River Ripple has a talk with Gray Wing at the four trees,[30] despite his talk with Gray Wing happening first.[31][32]
Drizzle is said to have gone to the rapids with Spider Paw, Pine Needle, Mist, and Croak, but then in the next sentence, she is said to be collecting moss with Dew and Shattered Ice.[40]
Pine Needle is called Pine after having changed his name.[40]
The book states that Moth Flight has not shared a nest with anyone besides Dust Muzzle prior to sharing one with Micah in the RiverClan camp.[61] However, she shares one earlier with Spotted Fur after running away from WindClan.[62]
Stagleap is called by his apprentice name twice, despite having been made a warrior a half moon earlier.[78][79] However, this could be because Talltail was thinking about his apprenticeship.
During the battle that kills Shrewclaw, there are several inconsistencies with Yellowfang's Secret:
In Yellowfang's SecretYellowpaw is shown to find evidence of WindClan stealing prey from ShadowClan,[93] while in Tallstar's RevengeTalltail finds evidence of ShadowClan stealing prey from WindClan.[94]

In Yellowfang's Secret Blizzardwing is mentioned to have returned to camp before the battle started,[98] but in Tallstar's Revenge he is present during the battle.[99]
In Yellowfang's Secret Cedarstar is revealed to have stayed in camp during the battle,[100] when in Tallstar's Revenge he is shown to lead ShadowClan's attack.[99]
Newtspeck is also shown to attend the battle in Tallstar's Revenge,[99] however she is not shown to be a part of the battle patrol in Yellowfang's Secret.[101]
In Yellowfang's Secret ShadowClan is shown to win the battle,[100] while in Tallstar's Revenge WindClan is shown to be victorious.[102]
Mudclaw is said to be a kit in the nursery when Tallstar became leader in Starlight,[103] but in this book, he is shown as a warrior when Tallstar is going to receive his nine lives.[104]

Cloudpelt is said to be Raggedpelt's apprentice,[121] but in Bluestar's Prophecy, he is said to be Crowtail's apprentice.[85]
Despite the ShadowClan cats not needing to travel through WindClan to get to the Moonstone,[122] Yellowfang and Sagewhisker are mentioned to term all the way to the Moonstone through WindClan territory.[123]
Later, Raggedpelt and Yellowfang travel through WindClan territory toward Highstones.[124]
It is said that Nightpelt should be "young and strong like his littermates", despite having only one littermate.[129]
During Brokenpaw's first Gathering, there are several inconsistencies with Bluestar's Prophecy:
In Bluestar's Prophecy, Hailstar is said to have died prior to this Gathering,[130] but in Yellowfang's Secret, he is shown to still be alive, making the report for RiverClan.[131]
In Bluestar's Prophecy, Brokenpaw starts a fight with two RiverClan apprentices,[133] but in Yellowfang's Secret, he starts a fight between two WindClan apprentices.[134]
In Bluestar's Prophecy, Leopardfoot says that Oakheart broke up the fight,[135] but in Yellowfang's Secret, Cedarstar broke it up.[134]

In addition, they are both shown as more little and young than Cinderpelt, despite Brightpaw being her littermate, and Swiftpaw being older than both of them.[144]

Beetlepaw is called by his warrior name, Beetlenose, while he is still an apprentice.[167]
Mapleshade's eyes are mistakenly described as green.[168]
At Crookedpaw's first Gathering, the cause of the disturbance at the Gathering is RiverClan bringing up the stolen kits. In Bluestar's Prophecy, the cause is WindClan bringing up the recent battle with ThunderClan.[169]
Graypaw is called by her warrior name, Graypool, while she is still an apprentice.[170]
Oakheart is called by his apprentice name, despite having already received his warrior name.[171]
Crookedjaw is mistakenly called Crookedpaw just before Willowpaw's assessment.[172]

Additionally, in Forest of Secrets, Oakheart states that the rest of Graypool's kits have died,[180] meaning that she must have had at least three kits but in Crookedstar's Promise, she had only two kits: Splashkit and Morningkit.[181]
Softwing's kits have supposedly died,[182] but later they are seen as warriors.[183]
Sunfish enters the camp with Crookedstar from a border patrol,[184] but she is in the nursery when he enters with Willowbreeze on the next page.[185]

Graystripe is seen watching his kits who are referred to as Featherpaw and Stormpaw, but he had been exiled from RiverClan when they were still kits.[165]
In Crookedstar's Promise, Mistyfoot and Stonefur are unaware that Oakheart is their father.[188] However, in The Prophecies Begin, Mistyfoot and Stonefur know that Oakheart is their father: this is even an essential element in Fireheart's investigation into Redtail's death.[189]
Foxheart is mistakenly listed as a tom in the allegiances, and her name is misspelled "Foxhear".[85]
Graykit and Willowkit are in the allegiances, though they have not been born yet.[85]
Lilystem is mistakenly listed as Crookedkit and Oakkit's mother in the allegiances, though it is Rainflower.[85]

The eBook version corrects this misspelling in ThunderClan, but the error in RiverClan is still present.
Whitepaw and Dapplepaw are shown to be younger than Speckletail, though they are older than Speckletail in the first arc.[85] Morever, Whitepaw (shortly One-Eye) is an apprentice when Smallear and Sparrowpelt (shortly Halftail) are warriors, yet in The Prophecies Begin she is noted to be the oldest cat in the Clan.[190][191]
In the prologue, Bluestar closes her eyes and gives way to 'dizzying blackness' shortly after she shares tongues with Mistyfoot and Stonefur. However, in A Dangerous Path, Bluestar reopens her eyes to talk one last time before going to StarClan.[192][193]
Bluepaw's prey is mentioned as being a mouse and Snowpaw's is a shrew. But a few pages back, Bluepaw had chosen a sparrow and Snowpaw had a mouse.[198]
During a battle against RiverClan, Stormtail is shown to fight a RiverClan apprentice,[204] despite no RiverClan apprentices attending the battle.[205]
During the same battle, the RiverClan patrol is comprised of eight cats. However, in Crookedstar's Promise, which takes place at the same time, there are only seven cats in the patrol: Hailstar, Piketooth, Shellheart, Timberfur, Ottersplash, Rippleclaw, and Whitefang. During this time, RiverClan also has no apprentices, despite one being involved in the battle.[205]
Whitestorm is mistakenly described with blue eyes as a kit.[207]
Poppydawn has been mistakenly described as dark brown.[208]

In A Dangerous Path, Dappletail claims to have mothered at least two litters of kits,[217] but in Bluestar's Prophecy, it was largely suspected that she was unable to have kits.[218]
Spottedleaf and Redtail are siblings.[221] However, Spottedleaf is explicitly described as young[222] and Redtail as a veteran in The Prophecies Begin.[223]
In the comic at the end of the digital version of the book, Whitestorm mistakenly says, "He kept up well on the journey, despite his puny." [224] He is meant to say "despite his puny size."[225]
Grasswhisker is listed as a warrior while her mother is still a kit.[226][227] This error is fixed in the paperback edition, removing Grasswhisker.[228]

Shrewclaw is listed, though he should be dead by this point.[227][242]
Palebird is a warrior and her kits are apprentices, while Deadpaw and his siblings are also still apprentices.[227] In the allegiances of Redtail's Debt, Deadfoot is listed as a warrior, while Pigeonpaw and Sorrelpaw are still apprentices, and Palebird and her kits are still in the nursery, implying he became a warrior very early.[243]
Cloudpelt is listed as a kit, while he should at least be an apprentice.[227] This error is fixed in the paperback edition, with Cloudpelt listed as Raggedstar's apprentice.[244]

Sunfish is described as a tabby partway through chapter four of Leopardstar's Honor.[255][256]
Oakheart was said to have been killed by ThunderClan,[257] when he was actually killed by a rockslide.[note 2] This mistake is fixed in the paperback edition.[259]
Stonefur is not part of the patrol during which Oakheart died and is instead replaced by Beetlenose,[260] even though him being present during the patrol is vital for The Prophecies Begin.[261]
This error is fixed in the paperback edition for when the patrol leaves,[262] but when the patrol returns after Oakheart's death, Beetlenose takes Stonefur's place.[263]

Silverstream is called a gray tabby.[282] This error is fixed in the paperback edition.[283]
During the battle with WindClan, Leopardfur sees Graystripe leading a second ThunderClan patrol to help WindClan.[284] However, in Fire and Ice, it is Whitestorm who leads the second patrol.[285]
During the battle with WindClan, Leopardfur sees Fireheart fighting Nightstar alone.[286] However, in Fire and Ice, Runningwind helps Fireheart defeat the ShadowClan leader.[287]
In Crookedstar's Promise,Tanglewhisker is said to have died sometime before Silverstream was born.[183] However, in Leopardstar's Honor, he dies long after Silverstream has been made a warrior.[288]
Mosspelt was said to have Robinkit in her jaws, with Woodkit and Dawnkit clinging to her back,[289] but a few pages later, she is said to have Dawnkit in her jaws, with Woodkit and Robinkit clinging to her back.[290] This error is fixed in the paperback edition, with Dawnkit replaced by Robinkit in their second appearance.[291]
After RiverClan evacuated their camp and took shelter on a hill nearby, Leopardfur goes out with a patrol to look for Mistyfoot's missing kits.[292] However, her patrol needs to have gone long before RiverClan saw the need to evacuate as Leopardfur is surprised to see her Clan shelter from it when she returns.[293]
Crookedstar is called gray.[294] This mistake is fixed in the paperback edition.[295]
During the scene in which Fireheart and Graystripe bring Mistyfoot's kits back to RiverClan, there are a few inconsistencies.
In Forest of Secrets, after Fireheart tells the RiverClan patrol that they saved the kits from the flood, Graystripe asks them if they think they did it for fun.[296] However, in Leopardstar's Honor, Graystripe says nothing.[297]
When Crookedstar asks them how they have the kits, Fireheart replies sarcastically, "We flew across the river and broke into your camp without anyone noticing."[298] However, in Forest of Secrets, he simply says, "We flew across the river."[299]
Graypool is one of the first cats to show herself when Fireheart and Graystripe return Mistyfoot's missing kits. She is also shown caring for the two before Mistyfoot herself arrives.[300] In Forest of Secrets, however, Graypool does not appear until after Mistyfoot reunites with her kits.[299]
The Gathering during which the Clans discover that ThunderClan shelters Brokentail takes place the night before Fireheart and Graystripe are caught hunting for RiverClan,[301] when in reality, they got caught and punished way before the Gathering,[302] and their punishment is not lifted until two days before said Gathering.[303]
Leopardfur thinks that, the second time she had gone to ThunderClan to demand Silverstream's kits, Bluestar had conceded.[304] However, the second time, Leopardfur had actually left of her own accord after helping ThunderClan fight off Tigerclaw's rogues,[305] and it was the third visit in which Bluestar agreed to give RiverClan the kits.[306]

The entire paragraph about Featherpaw's and Stormpaw's apprentice ceremony contains several aspects that do not happen until later in the plot:
Jaggedtooth and Boulder are present during the ceremony[313] despite only being stationed in RiverClan after it joined with ShadowClan to form TigerClan.[314]
In the hardcover edition, Featherpaw and Stormpaw are apprenticed too early in the plot,[315] as the book later mentions how Skyheart keeps Mosspelt company in the nursery now that Mistyfoot's kits are apprentices. This implies that by this point, Mosspelt is still in the nursery with Featherkit and Stormkit.[316] This is fixed in the paperback edition, with no mention of Mosspelt.[317] Additionally, in the hardcover edition, Tigerstar later also asks Leopardstar if she is still planning to make Mistyfoot and Stonefur mentors to Featherkit and Stormkit, even though their ceremony has already been held.[318][246] This is fixed in the paperback version, with Tigerstar asking if she had definitely chosen Stonefur and Mistyfoot to be mentors of the young apprentices, but Stonefur is accidentally referred to as Stormfur.[319]
Skyheart is called gray.[320] This is fixed in the paperback edition.[321]
Featherpaw is mistakenly called Stonefur's apprentice.[322] This is fixed in the paperback edition.[323]
Mistyfoot's, Stonefur's, Featherpaw's, and Stormpaw's prison is said to be between the roots of a willow tree[324] when it was actually in an abandoned fox hole.[325] This is fixed in the paperback edition.[326]
Tigerstar says, "TigerClan and BloodClan will rule forever,"[327] but in The Darkest Hour he says, "TigerClan and BloodClan will rule together."[328] This is fixed in the paperback edition.[329]
Leopardstar's talk with Mudfur and her renewed attitude to fight BloodClan contradicts The Darkest Hour where Firestar finds her defeated by the prospect of the Twolegplace cats.[333][334]
RiverClan stays as Tigerstar dies, while ShadowClan flees,[335] when in The Darkest Hour, the entirety of TigerClan fled before he lost his final life.[336]
Mistyfoot says Featherpaw and Stormpaw have gotten new mentors now that they live in ThunderClan[337] and while this is true for Stormpaw, Featherpaw's mentor has not changed as Mistyfoot continued to train her.[338] This is fixed in the paperback edition, where she says that only Stormpaw has a new mentor.[339]
In the comic, Reedpaw is shown as a tabby with a reed-shaped tail.[340]
Additionally in the comic, Feathertail is shown greeting Mistyfoot when she returns to camp,[340] though Feathertail died during the journey from Midnight and never made it back to RiverClan.[341]
Ashfur is listed as an elder under Raggedstar's leadership,[342] though he did not retire until after Brokenstar took over.[343] This is fixed in the paperback edition.[344]
Brightflower is not listed in the allegiances, though she should be a warrior of ShadowClan at the time.[342]
When Crowpaw tells WindClan about Midnight and her message, the Clan is initially split whether they should leave the forest and some have a hard time believing Crowpaw.[349] In Dawn however, Crowpaw tells Brambleclaw that they "accepted Midnight's words without question."[350]
Crowpaw is surprised to hear about the destruction of Fourtrees when going to the meeting with the other leaders.[351] In Dawn however, Crowpaw has already learnt of the Great Oaks' destruction after he meets a WindClan patrol who escort him back to camp.[352]
When Crowpaw and Tallstar go out to meet with the other Clans at Fourtrees to wait for the sign of the dying warrior, Barkface is not accompanying them,[353] despite Dawn stating that every journeying cat brought their leader and medicine cat[354] and showing Barkface follow after Tallstar.[355]
Onewhisker worries that he and the other WindClan cats will get overlooked when Firestar divides his warriors into patrols to help ShadowClan.[356] By the time Onewhisker asks "What about me?", however, in Dawn, Firestar has already assigned all present WindClan cats to patrols except for Tallstar and Onewhisker.[357]

Sagekit is referred to as a she-cat multiple times despite being a tom.[390]
Even though he is a member of modern SkyClan, Rainfur is listed as a member of ancient SkyClan in the allegiances along with Skywatcher.[392]
In the allegiances, Rockpaw, Bouncepaw, and Tinypaw are listed as warriors with warrior names despite them being apprentices at the beginning of the book.[392]
In the prologue, the elder Mousefang states that she was a kit when SkyClan left the forest. However, in Battles of the Clans, she is shown as a warrior during a battle with ThunderClan in the forest, and she is listed as a warrior in Firestar's Quest and in Cloudstar's Journey.[393]
A queen is described as she "gathers her kits" in the present tense, while the rest of the surrounding sentences are in the past tense. [394]
During the dreamed flood, Leafstar is just out of her den watching elders being swept out of theirs when the map shows the leader's den below the elders' den.[395]
Although Leafstar states that they had persuaded Shrewtooth to move into the warriors' den two moons earlier,[396] shortly afterward, on the very same day, it says that he had lived in the warriors' den for three moons.[397]

Rippletail is shown to have escaped the Kin along with Berryheart, Cloverfoot, and Sparrowtail and joined Tigerheart's patrol back to ShadowClan,[435] although Slatefur is the one intended to join the aforementioned three and join the patrol as seen in River of Fire,[436] and Rippletail is a kittypet.[437]
The sun-drown-place is mistakenly called the sun-drown-water.[441]

It is mentioned that at a Gathering, Bramblestar gives his place to Blackstar to make a report, although Blackstar has already made a report. Furthermore, it is mentioned that Bramblestar nods at Onestar to begin his report right after it is said that he gave his place to Blackstar.[445]
Blackstar calls the Greenleaf Twolegplace the “Twoleg greenleafplace”[445]

In the audiobook version, Thornclaw is mistakenly referred to as “ThornClan” by the narrator. This mistake is not present in the text.[458]
Strikestone is shown leading Squirrelflight, Jayfeather, and Alderheart back to ThunderClan territory,[459] when earlier, it was Scorchfur leading them back.[460]
Squirrelflight is mistakenly called flame-colored.[464]
The trial scene presents several different continuity errors:[465]
In The Forgotten Warrior, Bluestar tells Jayfeather that StarClan does not judge the dead or choose their fate.[466] However, in Squirrelflight's Hope, StarClan organizes a trial for Leafpool and Squirrelflight to decide if they can stay with them or not.[467]
StarClan berates Leafpool and Squirrelflight for their lies.[468] However in Leafpool's Wish, StarClan themselves encourage Squirrelflight to take in Leafpool's kits, lying that she will never have kits of her own.[469] StarClan even promises to provide support for Leafpool before she is even aware she is pregnant.[470][471]
Moth Flight states that they chose Lionblaze and Jayfeather as part of the prophecy and they could have chosen any cat,[472] but The Fourth Apprentice establishes that the prophecy did not come from StarClan, and the StarClan cats themselves were unsure who the Three exactly were.[473]
Crookedstar is said to have spoken for the first time,[472] when he spoke on the previous page.[474]
In the audiobook version, Crookedstar is mistakenly referred to as “Longstar” by the narrator. This mistake is not present in the text.[465]
