The Warriors series is incredibly long, with each book published in a relatively short span of time. As a result, mistakes often appear in the novels, the images, and in the official website devoted to the series. For brevity, these articles do not contain grammatical or spelling errors. This article documents many of these mistakes in the The Prophecies Begin arc.
Oakheart is mistakenly described as bracken-colored.[5]
Bluestar appears to know Rusty's name already, despite him not telling it to her.[6]
Tigerclaw's slash on his muzzle is described as a scar.[7] However, he received it in the recent battle with RiverClan,[8] so it should still be fresh.

It is said that it has been three moons since Brokenstar was driven out[37] and six since Spottedleaf had been killed;[38] however, both these events occurred on the same day.[39]

It is said that Willowpelt is waiting for her first litter.[59] However, this is false, since she is also the mother of Graystripe and Darkstripe.[60][61]
On the cover, Firestar's eyes appear more yellow instead of green.[86]
In the allegiances, Lostface is listed with the apprentices despite being a warrior.[87]
In the allegiances, Littlecloud is listed as a warrior,[87] despite having become a medicine cat apprentice in A Dangerous Path.[88] This error is fixed in the reprinted version of The Darkest Hour.[89]
The allegiances preemptively list Firestar and Whitestorm as the leader and deputy of ThunderClan, respectively,[87] before this actually happens in the book.[90][91] Fireheart is also mistakenly called Firestar in the text before officially receiving his leader name,[92] and he is mistakenly called Fireheart after receiving his leader name.[93]
Tigerstar is referred to as Tigerclaw after receiving his leader name.[96]
Tawnypaw is mistakenly mentioned with amber eyes.[97]
Tigerstar is referred to as Tigerpaw.[98] This is fixed in the reprinted version.[99]
