"The two kits, Splashkit and Morningkit, had been born sickly, and had never grown strong, dying less than a moon after they'd been kitted."
— The narrator about Graypool's kits in Crookedstar's Promise, page 447

Morningkit is a pale brown[2] she-cat[3] with one white marking.[2]

Crookedstar's Promise

Morningkit and Splashkit are born to Graypool and Rippleclaw in RiverClan. They are both born extremely ill, and die soon after they are born. After their death, Graypool mourns for a long time over the death of her kits, going down to the river and yowling her grief. Shimmerpelt comments that Graypool thinks her kits will hear her calls of pain up in StarClan. Oakheart gives Graypool Mistykit and Stonekit to raise, which leads to her feeling better than she had since the death of her kits.

In the Field Guides

The Ultimate Guide

Although not mentioned by name, it is mentioned on Mistystar's and Stonefur's page that they were raised by Graypool after she lost her own litter.
