He never formally appears in any of the Warriors books, but he is mentioned by his mate, Lizardstripe. She remarks during a talk with Raggedstar and Yellowfang on if she would take in Brokenkit that, if she had known toms could have kits, she "would have made Mudclaw have these brats of mine himself" He had two kits with Lizardstripe.. He is never mentioned again, nor has he appeared in any other Warriors books.
