"Our custom is that we give new kits their first names. Then we present the kits to the ancestors, and depending on which ancestor they seem to be tied to, they get the second part of their name."

Naming convention[]

Wildcats share a two part name similar to Clan cats. Instead of earning their full name when they become adults, or warriors, wildcats are given the second part of their name when they are chosen by a specific ancestor guide, who will walk with the wildcat for the rest of their life.[1] For example, Pounce Whisper's name was originally Pounce until he was blessed by Whisper Claw as his spirit mentor.[2] As such, a wildcat's prefix can also be a possible suffix, and it will be listed as such below.
