Natalie Riess

Natalie Riess-Goetter is a cartoonist, illustrator and colorist[4] working alongside Sara Goetter for the graphic novel adaptation of The Prophecies Begin.[5]

Biography[]

Natalie Riess-Goetter was born as Natalie Riess in New York and grew up in Pennsylvania.[2] She currently resides in Austin, Texas.[1] She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree from Syracuse University's illustration program.[6]
On March 3rd, 2023, she got married to Sara Goetter, hyphenating her last name with her wife as Natalie Riess-Goetter. However, the two have decided to keep their last names separate in business for publishing purposes. The wedding itself was small, with the ceremony held at a local park.[3]
She and Sara have a 15-year-old[7] gray tabby cat named Tilly, and she serves as the inspiration for their Warriors adaptations.[8]
