Cloudstar's Journey[]

Nettleclaw is on a patrol with Seedpelt at the border between ThunderClan and SkyClan. Seedpelt encounters Buzzardtail and Cloudstar, and while she discusses borders with the two SkyClan cats, Nettleclaw calls out to Seedpelt to ensure there is no trouble. After the SkyClan cats leave, Cloudstar mentions that ThunderClan had had set their borders too far into SkyClan territory. Nettleclaw participates in the SkyClan-ThunderClan battle. Nightfur, Weaselwhisker, and Acornpaw pounce on him, taking him down. Nettleclaw recovers quickly, and he leaps up quickly to retaliate against Acornpaw.

In the Field Guides[]

Battles of the Clans[]

A ThunderClan kit: "Tell us about the battle!"
Another kit: "Were the SkyClan cats super big and scary?"
Nettleclaw: "No, but they were hungry, and that makes any enemy more dangerous."
The first kit: "Not too dangerous for us! I bet you showed them who's the best around here!"
Nettleclaw: "I guess we did, little one."
—Nettleclaw answering the kits' questions after the battle with SkyClan Battles of the Clans, pages 150-151
Nettleclaw participates in the battle against SkyClan over a strip of territory. When he returns, several kits succeed in ambushing him, forcing him onto the ground. The young kits scramble and climb all over him, asking excitedly about the battle and the SkyClan cats. He tells them that they are not scary, but were very hungry, which in turn made them more dangerous. One of the kits tells him that he probably showed SkyClan who was the best, and Nettleclaw amusedly replies that he did.
