"Keep him off the ground. The rock will suck the warmth from him. And don't lick. The wet will make him colder. Keep rubbing. Remember, don't lick."
— Night to Leafpaw about Marshkit in Dawn, page 295

Night of No Stars, more commonly known as Night, is a small[4] and slender[5] pure[6] black she-cat[1] with green eyes.[2]

―Night to the intruders Outcast, page 202
One of the rogues that are invading, Flora, attacks Night, and her fellow rogues attack the rest of Night's patrol. She tells Crag that they can't fight them because of what had happened last time. Night and Talon, without Stoneteller's permission, journey to ThunderClan and ask for help when the trespassing cats invade their territory. It is revealed that she and Brook have been best friends since they were to-bes when Jaypaw looks into Brook's memory. He sees Brook asking Night to back her up on supporting Stormfur because they were friends, but Night refuses. Later, when the Clan cats go to the Tribe, she challenges the trespassing rogues. She is with them when they go to meet the Tribe.

In the Omen of the Stars arc[]

Sign of the Moon[]

Night: "What are you doing? You to-bes! This is the time for eating, not for playing."
Rain: "Sorry, Night."
—Night scolding the to-bes for playing, and Rain apologizing for them Sign of the Moon, page 150
Night is now a kit-mother, expecting Sheer's kits. When Dark, Rain, and Snow are demonstrating to the Clan cats how the Tribe catches eagles, Night looks up with an irritated expression, telling the to-bes to stop playing and eat their share of fresh-kill. Rain apologizes, while Dark explains they were only showing them, and Night tells him to do it at sunrise.

In the Novellas[]

Tawnypelt's Clan[]

""What" tree? This is crazy. The water's too strong; we can't get into it."
―Night to Stoneteller about Shadowkit's vision Tawnypelt's Clan, page 178
Night is on a border patrol with Moss, Snow, and Breeze when they come across Tawnypelt, Dovewing and Shadowkit and lead them back to the cave.
