Oatpaw is a tom[2] and an ancient RiverClan apprentice. In Code of the Clans, when the RiverClan medicine cat, Meadowpelt, asks him to get some poppy seeds for an injured Clanmate, Snaketooth, Meadowpelt seems to be thinking about taking him as his apprentice because of his skills and knowledge. After Meadowpelt orders Snaketooth to eat the poppy seeds, he asks Oatpaw to help carry Snaketooth to his den.
