"True warriors will always win over fox-hearts!" |
— Pikekit to Stormkit and Featherkit in Leopardstar's Honor, page 446 |
Pikepaw is a dark gray tom[5] with dark mottled markings[6] like a fish[7] and blue eyes.[8]
History[]
In The Prophecies Begin[]
Forest of Secrets[]
- When Fireheart speaks with Mistyfoot about the truth of Oakheart's death, Mistyfoot sharply remarks she left her kits to hurry him along. When Fireheart goes with Graystripe so the latter can visit Silverstream, they discover two kits—Pikekit and Perchkit—trapped on debris in the river near Sunningrocks. As Fireheart wades out to rescue them and pushes the debris closer to the shore, Pikekit falls into the river and Graystripe rescues him. Fireheart and Graystripe take the kits back to RiverClan where they are greeted by Leopardfur, Stonefur, and Blackclaw—the kits' father. Stonefur recognizes them as his sister's kits, but Leopardfur and Blackclaw are more skeptical. At the camp, Fireheart and Graystripe explain how they came across the kits while Mistyfoot joyously reunites with Pikekit and Perchkit. At the Gathering, Bluestar asks Mistyfoot about her kits, and Mistyfoot reports they are recovering and will soon be apprentices.
Rising Storm[]
- He is mentioned indirectly by Mousefur when she tells Leopardfur that Mistyfoot's kits will soon begin to learn, sarcastically reminding him that they were saved from the river by Fireheart.

Leopardstar's Honor[]
- "True warriors will always win over fox-hearts!"
- ―Pikekit while playing with Featherkit and Stormkit Leopardstar's Honor, page 446
- Later, Pikekit and his siblings play outside when Tallstar arrives in camp, and the kits eagerly ask the WindClan leader questions. Pikekit and his siblings frequently play with Stormkit and Featherkit. He later becomes an apprentice named Pikepaw with Loudbelly as his mentor. When his mother is named Featherpaw's mentor, Pikepaw, his littermates, and their father watch on proudly. When his mother and the other half-Clan apprentices escape TigerClan, Pikepaw, Primrosepaw, and Reedpaw stay close to the apprentices' den and worry over their mother's safety. When Tigerstar kills Gorsepaw when WindClan refuses to join TigerClan, Leopardstar worries if Pikepaw or Primrosepaw will be next if she refuses Tigerstar's orders. When TigerClan meets with BloodClan to confront WindClan the ThunderClan, Leopardstar tells Blackclaw to keep the apprentices away from the battle and to defend them. Later, after Tigerstar's death, Loudbelly asks to train Pikepaw for battle, but Leopardstar fears they would be torn to shreds against BloodClan. Loudbelly insists Pikepaw deserves the chance to try, and his leader relents.
In the Novellas[]
Mistystar's Omen[]
- Pikepaw, along with his sister, Primrosepaw, and brother, Perchkit, appear in StarClan at Mistyfoot's leadership ceremony. All three kits greet their mother happily, and Pikepaw and Primrosepaw watch as Perchkit gives Mistyfoot a life for bravery. Mistystar often thinks of her kits, regretting how short her time was with them.
