Prophecies and omens are dreams and signs given by StarClan to leaders, medicine cats, and sometimes to other Clan members as well, to foretell the future and warn them about incoming events.[1] This page lists prophecies and omens from the A Starless Clan arc.

A message from a fake Curlfeather[]
- Omen: "The living Clans must find their own path ... You have to look beyond the obvious choices."[2]
- Interpreter: Frostpaw[3]
- Meaning: The true meaning of the prophecy is unknown.[4] Frostpaw misinterpreted it to mean that Owlnose should be the next leader of RiverClan.[5] The prophecy was later discovered to be dreamt up by Frostpaw.[6][7]

Shadow[]
Darkness in RiverClan[]
- Omen: "There is a darkness in RiverClan. Closer than you think."[8]
- Interpreter: Frostpaw[8]
- Meaning: A message from Reedwhisker after he shows Frostpaw his murder.[8] Frostpaw later realizes that it was Splashtail who killed him.[9]

Star-shaped dock leaf[]
- Omen: A torn up star-shaped dock leaf appears in Frostpaw's nest.[10]
- Interpreter: Mothwing[11]
- Meaning: Frostpaw and Mothwing will lead the Clan until StarClan presents another leader if Reedwhisker doesn't return.[11]

A curled feather[]
- Omen: A small white curled feather near the Moonpool.[12]
- Interpreter: Frostpaw[12]
- Meaning: Curlfeather is to be RiverClan's next leader.[13] Frostpaw later realizes that this sign was faked by Splashtail.[9]

Curled feathers dream[]
- Omen: Frostpaw's dream of several curled white feathers, similar with the one she found, near the Moonpool.[14]
- Interpreter: Frostpaw[14]
- Meaning: Curlfeather is to be RiverClan's next leader.[15]

Wind[]
Shadows and river[]
- Omen: Frostpaw's dream of a shadow obscuring the sun and making the river disappear.[16]
- Interpreter: Frostpaw[16]
- Meaning: TBA

Lightning on the moor[]
- Omen: Frostpaw's vision of lightning splitting a river in two and a storm destroying the moor, followed by the squeals of WindClan kits.[17]
- Interpreter: Frostpaw[18]
- Meaning: Reedwhisker's message that lightning will cause a tree to fall on WindClan's nursery, and successfully warning and aiding the Clan will gain Harestar's trust.[19]
