Prophecies and omens are dreams and signs given by StarClan to leaders, medicine cats, and sometimes to other Clan members as well, to foretell the future and warn them about incoming events.[1] This page lists prophecies and omens from the Omen of the Stars arc.
Meaning: Referencing the three cats' abilities, that being Jayfeather's 'sharp eyes' and Lionblaze's 'roar', his ability in battle, Dovewing (then Dovepaw) will be the one to help return them to peace.[3]
Prophecy: "There will be three cats, kin of your kin, with the power of the stars in their paws. They will find a fourth, and the battle between light and dark will be won. A new leader will rise from the shadows of his death, and the Clans will survive beyond the memories of his memories. This is how it has always been, and how it will always be."[10]
Meaning: The three cats, Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Dovewing, will find a fourth cat, Firestar, and the battle against the Dark Forest will be won. Firestar will die, a new leader, Bramblestar, will emerge, and the Clans will survive.[11][12][13]
Meaning: Jayfeather must find the fourth cat, which is revealed to be Firestar.[11] At first, Jayfeather thinks it is an omen to find Flametail, who he believes to be the fourth cat.[23]
