Prophecies and omens are dreams and signs given by StarClan to leaders, medicine cats, and sometimes to other Clan members as well, to foretell the future and warn them about incoming events.[1] This page lists prophecies and omens from The Prophecies Begin arc.
Prophecies[]
Into the Wild[]
Fire alone can save our Clan[]
Spottedleaf receiving the fire alone prophecy
- Prophecy: "Fire alone can save our Clan."[2]
- Sign: Shooting star[2]
- Interpreter: Spottedleaf
- Meaning: A cat with a flame-colored pelt (Firestar) will save ThunderClan from the treachery of Tigerstar in The Darkest Hour and The Last Hope. Bluestar first thinks it means real fire, which destroys the Clan's camp.[3]

Beware a warrior you cannot trust[]
- Prophecy: "A battle is coming, Fireheart. Beware a warrior you cannot trust."[4]
- Sign: Message from Spottedleaf[5]
- Interpreter: Fireheart
- Meaning: This is a warning for Fireheart to beware of Tigerclaw, but Fireheart thinks it is Graystripe since they are having an argument at the time. He later finds out that it is Tigerclaw, when the deputy allows Leopardfur to fight Fireheart in the battle against RiverClan in defense of WindClan and does not attempt to help him.[4]

Beware an Enemy Who Seems to Sleep[]
- Prophecy: "Beware an enemy who seems to sleep."[9]
- Sign: Dream[9]
- Interpreter: Fireheart[9]
- Meaning: A warning for Fireheart that even though Tigerclaw has been exiled, he is still a major threat.[10] Fireheart considers the possibility of the prophecy referring to Darkstripe, but he rejects the idea because he already knows he cannot trust him, so the prophecy must be referring to something else. He then believes it refers to the sickness that the ShadowClan cats had.[11]
