In the Dawn of the Clans Arc

Path of Stars

After Slash accuses Violet of being a weak hunter, the she-cat tells him that he wouldn't be acting this way if Rain were still there. Slash snorts, asking her what difference it would've made, claiming that he was so dumb he got himself killed on the Thunderpath. Violet retorts he was never dumb, but Slash says that his only smart choice was taking her as a mate. Slash asks Violet to get smart and become his mate and says that if she was, she would never starve again. Violet refuses and leaves to hunt in Twolegplace with Red, Juniper and Raven.
