History
In the New Prophecy Series
Moonrise
- Rock is one of the six Tribe cats who leave their home, the Tribe of Rushing Water, in order to kill the deadly mountain lion who preys on them, Sharptooth. He, Talon, and Bird survive, and the three other cats lose their lives to Sharptooth. After failing, the remaining three are exiled from the Tribe by Stoneteller. When the Clan cats encounter him and the other exiled rogues, he flexes his claws menacingly while Talon confronts them. When Crowpaw asks what happened to them that they became like this, Rock viciously retorts that it was Sharptooth, and that was how he lost his tail.
Dawn
- Rock is now back in the Tribe of Rushing Water because Sharptooth had been killed.
Trivia
- It is said in Moonrise that his name is Rock Where Snow Gathers[2], but that is changed in Dawn to Rock Beneath Still Water.[1]
- Rock is mentioned as a black tom in Moonrise.[3]
