Starlight

Crowfeather: "Rushtail, if I fetch you some fresh-kill, will you move then?"

Rushtail: "I might. As long as it's good and plump."

Rushtail is a WindClan elder. He is resting near ThunderClan when the Clans are preparing to go to their new camps. Crowfeather is irritably attempting to reason with him, insisting that he will get mixed up with the ThunderClan cats if he stays there. Rushtail replies that ThunderClan had never done him any harm, and that he is not moving until he gets something to eat. Leafpaw offers to help Crowfeather with Rushtail, she wonders if he is just being stubborn or if he is actually too weak to move, but Crowfeather angrily replies that he does not need her help with the elder. Crowfeather then offers to get Rushtail some prey, as he refuses to move without eating something.

• On Vicky's Facebook, Rushtail resides in StarClan.
• In Secrets of the Clans, a 2007 field guide, Rushtail is mentioned when Crowfeather is giving a tour of the WindClan camp. Crowfeather goes into the elders' den and orders the reader not to take a look inside, as Rushtail will probably claw the reader's nose off.
