Rust is a dark orange tom.[1]
In Riverstar's Home, Rust is a member of the Cats of the Park. When Slash and his group take over their territory, Rust and the other elders go into hiding. Squirrel explains to Riverstar how she has been helping to feed the elders, but Rust is not quick on his paws anymore. During the battle, Slash's rogues soon find the elders, and Slash threatens to kill Owl. After Slash and his rogues are defeated, Rust, Midge, and Owl recover in the elders' den.
