Sara Riess-Goetter is an illustrator working alongside Natalie Riess for the graphic novel adaptation of The Prophecies Begin.[5]
Biography[]
- Sara Riess-Goetter was born[6] as Sara Goetter[4] on June 27th in Horsham, Pennsylvania,[2] and currently resides in Austin, Texas.[1] She loves illustrating stories about monsters and magic, and getting into adventures.[7]
- She graduated from Hatboro-Horsham Senior High School in 2009,[2] going on to study at Pennsylvania College of Art & Design for 4 years, and earning her degree in Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in 2013.[8]
- On March 3rd, 2023, she got married to Natalie Riess, hyphenating her last name with her wife as Sara Riess-Goetter. However, the two have decided to keep their last names separate in business for publishing purposes. The wedding itself was small, and Sara described it as a:
- "-very, very small, DIY ceremony in a local park, with just our immediate families and closest friends, and I couldn't have asked for much more."[4]
- She and Natalie have a 15-year-old[9] gray tabby cat named Tilly, and she serves as the inspiration for their Warriors adaptations.[10]
