- Twigpaw is lying beside Hawkwing as her father tells her about SkyClan. It is early in the morning, and she thinks about how much better it is to be back home with kin. The day before, the camp had been bustling with cats from different Clans, but it is now calm. Twigpaw is soothed by Hawkwing's voice, but she is still uncertain about the future. The Clan now respects her for bringing SkyClan back. Berrynose, Cherryfall, and Violetpaw enter the camp; Twigpaw rushes over to her sister and they press against each other, purring. She gasps that she is sorry that they ever fought, and Violetpaw apologizes as well. Twigpaw replies that it does not matter anymore, and the Kin have been driven out of RiverClan territory. Violetpaw is surprised, and Twigpaw explains that they were chased out of RiverClan land by the prisoners, who rose up on their own. Joy fades from Violetpaw's eyes as she explains that Darktail was going to drown Needletail as punishment for her helping cats escape. Needletail attacked them, but Violetpaw ran even though she should have stayed and fought. Twigpaw reassures her sister, and Violetpaw goes on that it took her a long time to find the lake after losing Raven. Twigpaw murmurs to her sister that there is a cat she should meet.
- Twigpaw leads Violetpaw through the camp; Scorchfur and Snowbird greet Violetpaw, exclaiming that she is a hero. She leads her sister to Hawkwing, and excitedly introduces that he is SkyClan's deputy and their father. Hawkwing happily mews that it must be a sign that they should live together and rebuild SkyClan. Alderheart runs over and joyfully greets Violetpaw, but Twigpaw can tell that the medicine cat is uncertain about Hawkwing's earlier statement. He carefully tells Hawkwing that the two cats are parts of other Clans, but he quickly adds that they should not worry about it yet. He and Violetpaw go to fetch prey. Hawkwing tells Twigpaw that he is their father, and it is more important than their current allegiances to ThunderClan and ShadowClan. Twigpaw does not know what to say, and interrupts that she is not sure what to do yet. Not wanting to see Hawkwing's disappointment, she mumbles that she has to fetch fresh-kill.
- Cats pour into the camp, Bramblestar at the lead. The leader tells Squirrelflight that things are mostly fine, but the rogues left the RiverClan camp in a mess. Leafstar adds that Darktail destroyed the gorge as well, and the rogue tom has no respect for the Clans. Whitewing says that RiverClan is rebuilding, and Rowanstar announces that he feels responsible for Darktail, and will return to his territory and get rid of the rogues once and for all. Cats yowl in agreement, and Bramblestar adds that everyone must unite and contribute to defeating Darktail. Leafstar and Rowanstar agree, and Twigpaw hears Alderheart walking over to stand beside his father. The medicine cat repeats that all cats must unite, and their efforts will not succeed without one more Clan.
