Songleap is a tortoiseshell she-cat.[1]

Songleap is a WindClan warrior under Harestar's leadership in the lake territories. Songkit was born alongside her littermates, Whistlekit and Flutterkit, to Featherpelt and Oatclaw. She was apprenticed to Crouchfoot as Songpaw, and after earning her warrior name, Songleap mentored her uncle, Silkypaw.

History[]

In The Broken Code arc[]

Lost Stars[]

Songkit is a WindClan kit, and the daughter of Oatclaw and Featherpelt alongside her littermates, Flutterkit and Whistlekit.

The Silent Thaw[]

Songpaw is now an apprentice with Crouchfoot as her mentor.

The Place of No Stars[]

While on her way to WindClan to fetch Kestrelflight, Bristlefrost runs into Breezepelt, Crouchfoot, and Songpaw at the border. As Bristlefrost explains that Squirrelflight was kidnapped into the Dark Forest, Songpaw and Crouchfoot listen in with wide eyes, and lead Bristlefrost to their camp.

In the A Starless Clan arc[]

River[]

She is now a warrior named Songleap.

Star[]

Harestar sends Songleap, Heathertail, and Brindlewing to ensure that, after Tigerstar and his warriors are freed, the RiverClan cats guarding them will not be able to inform Splashtail. Afterward, Songleap waits with the WindClan patrol to push into RiverClan. Frostpaw recalls how Songleap's patrol had made easy work of Shimmerpelt and Mistpaw when they chased them from the tree bridge, and Songleap comments that RiverClan may need their help. Later, Nightheart watches Songleap and Brindlewing ease Frostpaw's body to the ground in RiverClan camp.

In the Changing Skies arc[]

Songleap is now mentoring Silkypaw.

Hidden Moon[]

Silkypaw recounts that when he first started as an apprentice, his mentor, Songleap, made him run across the moor every night until his legs hurt.

In the Novellas[]

Daisy's Kin[]

While on their way to the horseplace, Daisy, Mousewhisker, Alderheart, Sorrelstripe, and Smoky come across Hootwhisker, Whistlepaw, Crouchfoot, and Songpaw. Hootwhisker bristly questions Smoky's presence until Crouchfoot gently paws his Clanmate to knock it off. Hootwhisker apologizes for the hostility since all the Clans are on edge, and the WindClan cats bid them farewell.
