In the A Vision of Shadows arc

River of Fire

Spotkit, Snapkit, and Flykit are the newest kits of Cinderheart and Lionblaze. When Twigpaw returns to ThunderClan, she sees Cinderheart and Blossomfall with their litters wrestling at their paws. As sickness starts to set in, Alderheart worries for Cinderheart's kits since they have been venturing around camp more often. Alderheart decides to move Briarlight to the nursery despite how crowded it is, spotting Cinderheart and her kits, along with Blossomfall and Ivypool, who is close to giving birth. When Daisy tells the kits that they can help with Briarlight's exercise, they excitedly bound towards her, but Daisy stops them before they can crush her. Unfazed, Briarlight offers to play moss ball with the kits.
During a storm, Cinderheart and Blossomfall shelter their kits in the corners of the nursery, but move to the more sturdy elders' den at Alderheart's suggestion. After Ivypool gives birth to, Thriftkit, Bristlekit, and Flipkit, Alderheart checks on Cinderheart's litter. The fluffy gray queen curls around her kits, and tells Alderheart not to wake them, as she only sleeps when they do. Daisy adds that Spotkit and her siblings are strong cats, and apprenticeship won't be far away. When Dovewing returns from her time in the Twolegplace, she listens to the news of Cinderheart's litter eagerly.

The Raging Storm

Spotpaw and her littermates have become apprentices, her mentor being Leafshade. While Flypaw and Snappaw are clearing sticks out of the training area, Flypaw complains, wondering why Spotpaw can't help. Later, Spotpaw and Snappaw strain to see over the heads of their Clanmates when a SkyClan patrol is escorted into ThunderClan's camp to speak with Bramblestar.

In The Broken Code arc

Lost Stars

"There’s nothing to apologize for. We’re all worried about Bramblestar, and that puts us all a little on edge. Besides, there’s no need to worry Squirrelflight about any of this. You did get what you came for!"
―Spotfur comforting Bristlefrost after she falls through the ice Lost Stars
Spotfur shares prey with her mother after Rootpaw is rescued from the lake. Later, when Bristlefrost reveals her feelings to Stemleaf, the tom admits that he's in love with someone else, his gaze settling on Spotfur, who is playing with the kits outside the nursery. She joins the Clans in inspecting the frozen Moonpool, wary of disturbing the sacred place.
She later volunteers to go on Bristlefrost's patrol to retrieve medicine for Bramblestar, much to the new warrior's annoyance, who wonders what Stemleaf prefers about her. Finding that they must cross over frozen ice to reach the herbs, Spotfur declares that it's worth the risk. However, as it becomes apparent that the ice is too thin, she frets that a cat could fall though. Bristlefrost leaps forward, discarding Spotfur's warning, and has to be saved by the tabby warrior. She apologizes to Spotfur, praising the she-cat's bravery, who says they must get her to a medicine cat. Spotfur reassures Bristlefrost, noting now she managed to get the Medicine#Borage.

The Silent Thaw

"Trouble has already been stirred up! Do you want to stand by while this impostor banishes some poor cat forever, or tries to send more of his Clanmates to their deaths?"
―Spotfur rallying the others to stand up against the impostor The Silent Thaw
Bristlefrost is still slightly jealous over Stemleaf's adoration towards Spotfur. She offers to join Stemleaf to fetch fresh bracken for the elders' den, and Thriftear mocks her loving expression to Bristlefrost. Spotfur agrees that something is up with Bramblestar since he lost a life, and complains that Bramblestar is preventing Squirrelflight from organizing patrols. Later, she and her father clear out the nursery of old bedding.
Bristlefrost, Lionblaze and Spotfur go on a patrol in the rain. She and her father disagree about the thaw representing a sign of StarClan's return. Spotfur detects a rabbit, and the three make chase. Lionblaze catches it across WindClan's border much to Bristlefrost's horror. Spotfur and Lionblaze dismiss it, and the three mark the border before returning to camp. Bristlefrost informs Bramblestar who furiously calls the two cats forward. Bramblestar accuses them of breaking the warrior code and Spotfur defends herself by citing that others, such as Squirrelflight, have broken the code worse than she did.
Bramblestar orders no cat to speak to Spotfur for a quarter moon and exiles Lionblaze for the same time. Later, Bristlefrost catches Stemleaf speaking with Spotfur in secret and the three argue about Bramblestar's orders. Afterwards, Spotfur sleeps outside the warriors' den. When Molewhisker and his patrol bring in Rootpaw, Spotfur looks up from her mouse. She watches with interest as Bramblestar forgets the Sisters. At the Gathering, Bramblestar demonstrates his punishments for those who break the warrior code and points out to Spotfur sitting at the edge of the Gathering by herself. When he asks if she is enjoying her punishment, Spotfur does not reply, and Bramblestar purrs in amusement. She and Stemleaf eye Rootpaw with interest after his outburst. After the Gathering, they invite him to their secret meeting in three nights.
Spotfur goes on a hunting patrol with Bristlefrost, Thornclaw, and Sparkpelt when the latter leaves to find Lionblaze. At the secret meeting, Spotfur is pleased by the number of cats and is in disbelief when Tree reveals that Bramblestar is an impostor and the real Bramblestar is a ghost. Bristlefrost arrives, and Spotfur confronts her. Bristlefrost reveals she overheard Spotfur and Stemleaf talking about it, and Spotfur accuses her of spying. She and Stemleaf confirm that Bristlefrost really wants to help and tasks her to convince Squirrelflight of the impostor.
At the next Gathering, Spotfur and the other cats who attended the meeting shrink back in fear as Bramblestar's impostor and other Clan cats aggressively demand the codebreakers to atone. Later, Lilyheart, Stemleaf and Spotfur watch Finleap demonstrate a hunting move.

Veil of Shadows

"You can't know why she did it. Would Bristlefrost value Bramblestar's life over Stemleaf's, and the other rebels'? I doubt it, not if she's loyal to us. And don't forget, if Bristlefrost is loyal to Bramblestar, she knows all our secrets. We have to assume from now on that Bramblestar knows we're working against him. That's our own safe option, to make sure we're not... surprised, by anything he does."
―Spotfur about Bristlefrost and the impostor Veil of Shadows
Spotfur and Stemleaf, now mates, are returning from a hunting patrol when Bristlefrost calls out to Stemleaf, insisting that they need to talk. The three cats find a sheltered spot, where Bristlefrost reveals that she'd seen Bramblestar and Berrynose return to camp the night before, the dark tabby leader covered in blood and the smell of catmint. Stemleaf believes he is up to something, and Spotfur affirms that they'll need to watch him closely. However, none of the cats propose a plan. Soon after, Bramblestar calls a meeting where he declares that he believes Shadowsight has fled the Clans, and Spotfur and Stemleaf watch with angry eyes, doubting the impostor's claim.
When Bristlefrost returns from a patrol to SkyClan, Spotfur asks what happened, and is pleased to hearthat Leafstar wasn't swayed by Bramblestar to punish SkyClan codebreakers. Stemleaf mutters that they still have no leads on Shadowsight's fate, suggestinf that Bramblestar killed him. Spotfur doubts this, noting how no cat has found a body. Even so, she agrees that he would never just run off, but is hushed by Stemleaf as Thornclaw approaches. Later, Bristlefrost notes that Spotfur is among the few cats who are aware that Berrynose, ThunderClan's deputy, has been arranging patrols without direction from Bramblestar, who has become increasingly apathetic to running ThunderClan. At the Gathering, Spotfur, Stemleaf, and Bristlefrost sit grimly under the great oak as Tigerstar reports that Shadowsight is still missing.
Spotfur joins Stemleaf and Bristlefrost in investigating the old SkyClan camp where they intend to shelter the exiles. She exclaims that SkyClan must have been sorry to leave such a great location for a camp, and Stemleaf murmurs that they didn't have much of a choice. Two exiles, Lionblaze and Crowfeather begin to bicker, and Bristlefrost asks Spotfur if it was true that the former WindClan deputy was Lionblaze's father, which the she-cat confirms, snickering that they don't get along though.
A while later, Bristlefrost sees Spotfur gesturing to follow her to another rebel meeting. They find Stemleaf in the forest waiting for them, and silently travel into ShadowClan territory, where a crowd of cats from all the cats are assembled. Squirrelflight announces that she has faked her death to prevent Bramblestar from looking for her, and as the cats argue about whether they lie to a leader, Spotfur yowls that they certainly could, as Stemleaf affirms that he's not their true leader. As the subject shifts to Bramblestar, many cats assert that he should be killed, with even Spotfur and Stemleaf nodding warily.
As Bristlefrost is alone with Bramblestar in the forest, she sees Spotfur, Stemleaf, Kitescratch, Dappletuft, and Conefoot stalking towards them, and the rebel group springs into battle as Bristlefrost accidentally alerts the impostor. They battle alone until Bristlefrost brings a ThunderClan patrol, prompting Spotfur and Kitescratch to flee, as Dappletuft, Conefoot, and Stemleaf are killed.
Spotfur and Squirrelflight bring Berrynose to the rebel camp after the former deputy is exiled by Bramblestar. When they reveal that Bristlefrost has been appointed deputy in Berrynose's place, the spotted tabby growls that she betrayed them by warning Bramblestar and bringing a patrol to help him, though Squirrelflight defends her. The cats argue further about Berrynose, who is still loyal to Bramblestar, and Spotfur laments that they care so much for him when Stemleaf, Dappletuft, and Conefoot were dead. Tigerstar says that they acted against orders, since the rebel group had agreed to keep Bramblestar alive, but Spotfur questions how long they will let him go on terrorizing the Clans. The she-cat, exhausted, snarls that she doesn't want her mate to have died for nothing.
As Spotfur vows that the cat inside Bramblestar will pay for what he did, Rootspring spies Stemleaf's spirit gazing lovingly at his grief-stricken mate. Tigerstar supports the ThunderClan warrior, who goes on to mention how the impostor has exiled both of ThunderClan's medicine cats, daring to ask how much more the other Clans will let him get away with. Squirrelflight notes that they need a cat on the inside to deliver information to them, and when Tigerstar suggests Bristlefrost, Spotfur dismisses her as a traitor, instead suggesting Flipclaw.
