"Why would you Clan cats come all this way to free a pair of wildcats? The Clans haven't visited us wildcats in a very long time. We believed you had all forgotten us."

Spring Claw is a tabby wildcat tom with a darker pelt and gray streaks in his fur.[2]

Ivypool's Heart[]

"The family of lost cats will be accepted here. But first...there is something that you Clan cats need to know."
―Spring Claw speaking through the ancestors Ivypool's Heart, page 333
Spring Claw is one of the three elders of the wildcats, and he serves as both their leader and healer. Ivypool and Icewing explain their story to Spring Claw, Prowl Sleek, and Hunt Growl. After deliberating privately, the elders decide that they do not believe the Clan cats' story since Galestar was betrayed by the Clans. Spring Claw calls for the wild cats to drive Ivypool and Icewing out of their camp, though Prowl Sleek warns him that is not their way. Following the fox attack, Spring Claw treats Wish Stalk's and Icewing's wounds. Later, the three elders communicate with their ancestors, and Spring Claw, Prowl Sleek, and Hunt Growl lead the Clan cats to their sacred hollow log to enter the afterlife.
