- At the lake territories, the Sisters perform a ceremony in an attempt to summon Bramblestar. Many of the cats who died in the battle for ShadowClan appear, as do Ashfur and Spiresight, but Bramblestar does not. The Sisters decide to make camp nearby in case the Clans need them.

- Squirrel is born to Moonlight alongside Moon and Leaf. Their mother dies soon after their birth, so they are sheltered in SkyClan and fed by Violetshine. The two Sisters Tempest and Snow take care of Squirrel and their siblings, and Squirrelflight visits them and learns that Squirrel is named after her. She doesn't know how to feel about this. Tempest and Snow eventually move on with the rest of the Sisters, taking the kits with them.
