Stonestream is part of the RiverClan patrol fishing off the half-bridge. When they are ambushed by ShadowClan, he tries to protect Swallowtail from Blackstar, but Oakfur and Tawnypelt drive him away. Once the RiverClan patrol is defeated, Stonestream takes a step toward Oakfur, but stops when the tom snarls at him. Rowanclaw insultingly tells Mistyfoot that defeating them had been easy, provoking Stonestream. He leaps forward and challenges ShadowClan to fight out in the open, but Mistyfoot prevents him from attacking them. Stonestream sneers at Blackstar when the ShadowClan leader suggests that RiverClan give them some of their prey.

Mistakes

• Stonestream was omitted from all six books of the Omen of the Stars arc despite appearing in a scene in Mothwing's Secret which takes place during The Last Hope.

Continuity

The following information is from sources considered non-canon, retconned, or from adapted material.

• In Su Susann's "Missing Kits" on Vicky's Facebook, Stonestream's parents were Loudbelly and Dawnbright, and his littermates were Voletooth and Splashpaw, a white she-cat with ginger tabby patches, blue eyes, and a distinctive patch that made the right side of her face white and the left side ginger. Stonestream was also described with blue eyes. His older brother was Whiteclaw. While Stonestream and Voletooth earned their warrior names early, Splashpaw was determined to earn hers. While fishing with Stonestream, Splashpaw accidentally fell into a raging river and Stonestream attempted to save her. Splashpaw drowned, and Stonestream's right front leg was tangled in Twoleg fishing nets. Stonestream lost his leg from infection and retired to the elders' den early. He later died from the infection and went to StarClan.
